What happened to the age old principle regards crossing roads of looking left, looking right, and looking left again?

Were they there that fateful night to confirm that she took necessary precautions before crossing the road?..

Even if there was a pedestrian bridge, did they expect the dead student to avert her mind to using it while running for her life?

From the pictures, there is a pedestrian bridge sef...and the government also built fences between the roads to stop pedestrians from crossing anyhow sad...just that according to students it isn't 'close enough' undecided .....

The government should have built a pedestrian bridge that will link straight into their rooms undecided

Somebody jam person, silly students are now blaming the school authorities and the government, even where it's clear from the pictures that the government has done its best in the circumstances undecided

That's how a friend of mine almost had his hand chopped off by robbers in UNEC because he refused to give them his phone...

If the school authorities had done what was expected of them by providing functioning street lights around the school the whole thing wouldn't have happened....

God will help us in this country.

Some Nigerian students are just brainless, this protest won't solve anything and the lady will most probably be alive if she had stayed at the scene of the robbery instead of running like a scared rabbit.

There is a bridge close to the school gate na! 5 minutes max to cross the road with the bridge. You don't use it, you want the bridge to be exactly at the entrance of the school! angry F.G put barricade there to discourage you from crossing the road and encourage you, students,to use the bridge.

The school authority should provide enough security and the erring lecturer penalised for using 'one-way'.

R.I.P to the young lady.

They could also do this demonstration without causing unnecessary hardship to innocent commuters.

I was traveling to Benin this morning. Our vehicle was the first vehicle was the first they stopped,

All plea to allow us pass fell on deaf ears.

We had to turn back and used 1hr 30mins navigating through the bad road via Kuje.

We ain't the driver who knocked down the student.

We ain't the robber chasing the student

We ain't the government responsible for providing security and pedestrian bridge.

Those responsible won't face any inconvenience.

Grow up young chaps, know where and how to channel grievances properly

Avoid another Buratai, shooting his way through

But there's a pedestrian bridge at the entrance of the gate.

The lecturer that was driving one way and eventually hit the student should be held accountable.

had it been he drove not against the traffic....the late student would still be alive having escaped the armed robbers.

May her soul Rest In Peace.

Their own student was accidentally knocked down by their own lecturer who still had the conscience and courage of carrying the corpse to the female hostel for identification. So what is the basis for the protest on the highway? I believe the deceased may not even have remembered a pedestrian bridge was existing before dashing into the road. Now all the rogues among them will start attacking innocent motorists and stealing their properties. This doesn't call for such protests in my own view.

So whose fault is it that she didn't look well before crossing?

I guess it's the government's or school authorities' fault

Those protesting students should go and play baba Ijebu, if they have nothing else to do with their time undecided
