Did you like eating our native white chalk?

In Esan it is called ere. I used to grind it and mix it with salt. My mouth was always white afterwards but I liked it a lot.

It helps with indigestion, dydpepsia and heart burn.
Good for pregnant women who suffer from the same.

There was a lot of red sand where I lived and it contained this chalk. As kids we ate it without really knowing the pros and contras.

My granny used to tell me I'd fall sick and had to drink pee to recover.

There is also a grey type. Less smooth and it's natuarally sweet/salty. I loved that gosh.

Igbos call it Nzu! I used to have it back in the day. Would be nice to have it again

I maybe wrong, I think that chalk is calcium carbonate which is actually good for heart burns and indigestions.

in the south (USA), the very old AA woman talk about eating red clay for iron.

it seems to be kaolin (not sure though)




and in some areas is used for stomach problems
