There's conflicting information from this thread. Somebdy mentioned you can travel to the US on b1/b2 visa. I hope we can get more clarification when the international flights resume. https://www.nairaland.com/5807124/usa-visit-visa-part-4/6#93439403

|

rinw: I saw the comments also. Donald Trump signed an Executive Order stopping Non-US Citizens and Non-Immigrants into the US until Dec 31, 2020. It has not been vacated by any court or the White House as stipulated in the EO. If anyone who isn't a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) arrives in a Port of Entry, admission will be refused by CBP. The airlines do not know of you are a USC or PR holder until you present yourself at the boarding gates, so I do hope the mom isn't stopped on the Delta Flight. We don't know the visa type she has also. Repatriation or Evacuation flights are/were for Citizens/PR only. Non-Immigrants (B1/B2) aren't eligible. |

fkj950ax:And why wont Airline know if you’re GC, Citizen or Visa holder? No airline will give you boarding pass without getting authorization from the country they are flying you to. |

fkj950ax: Yes I have made the research. If you have a valid visa (Regardless the class), buy your ticket and fly to the USA. CBP are currently not doing Passport stamping rn because of their no contact policy. You will get your I-94 information online 1 Like |

Damian457: PURE LIES AND MISINFORMATION.... THE ONLY PEOPLE PASSING THROUGH USA AIRPORT ARE U.S CITIZENS, LPR AND GREEN CARD HOLDERS....CBP OFFICIALS STILL ATTENDS TO PASSENGERS AT THE AIRPORT. MORE INFO ON THE WAY. N.B: June 22, 2020 Proclamation 10052 Suspends Entry of Certain H, J, and L Nonimmigrants On June 22, 2020, the President issued Proclamation 10052 titled Proclamation Suspending Entry of Aliens Who Present a Risk to the U.S. Labor Market Following the Coronavirus Outbreak. Effective June 24, 2020, the proclamation suspends "entry into the United States of any alien seeking entry pursuant to any of the following nonimmigrant visas" until December 31, 2020, subject to section 3 of the proclamation: "an H-1B or H-2B visa, and any alien accompanying or following to join such alien;" "a J visa, to the extent the alien is participating in an intern, trainee, teacher, camp counselor, au pair, or summer work travel program, and any alien accompanying or following to join such alien;" "an L visa, and any alien accompanying or following to join such alien" Section 3(a) states, however, that the suspension will only be applied to individuals who: "(i) is outside the United States on the effective date of this proclamation; (ii) does not have a nonimmigrant visa, of any of the classifications specified in section 2 of this proclamation and pursuant to which the alien is seeking entry, that is valid on the effective date of this proclamation; and (iii) does not have an official travel document other than a visa (such as a transportation letter, an appropriate boarding foil, or an advance parole document) that is valid on the effective date of this proclamation or issued on any date thereafter that permits him or her to travel to the United States and seek entry or admission." The June 29, 2020 amendment clarified that the exception at Section 3(a)(ii) of Proclamation 10052 applies only to individuals with a valid H, J, or L visa who seek admission to the United States in one of those categories. For example, an individual outside the United States wishing to enter the United States in H-1B status who had valid B-2 visa but not a valid H-1B visa would be subject to the proclamation and would not be eligible for an H-1B visa. The proclamation also extends until the end of the year the April 22, 2020 proclamation suspending entry of certain immigrants. As per what I posted 2 days ago, a lot of people reached out to me with evidence of travel to the U.S on B1/B2.... Most of them flew to U.S on evacuation flight. I was wrong and at the same time, the Executive Order did not affected Africa Countries at all, the problem is with closed airspace in Africa. 3 Likes |

Are there people who have travelled to the US since airports opened? My B1B2 visa expires soon and I want to make a trip before it does. Any issues at the POE? I know UK borders were opened all through, you just have to quarantine. What is the case in the US? |
