Helicopters for rapid deployment. Don't conclude if you don't know why.

1)The helicopters can provide close air support while the drones can't.

2) as the NAF uses the same air space to train its pilots undergoing primary flying training.
One day, the excuse will be " we have no fuel to operate". This is just a show for a while.Do they get profit hovering that highway? No be naija we dey? Na show abeg grin

Glad you caught that. Kaduna-Abuja road had been witnessing a high rate of crime for years now. But now, the lives of VIPs are at stake.

Nah..It's not normal. I'm just seeing this news for the first time. All the while I had drove that way from kaduna to the east, no choppers to protect the passengers but because Abuja airport has been closed for maintenance, Abuja dwellers and Vips are now protected. It's ok, let's see how the next 3months would look like concerning this operation

Everything internally cannot be army army. This is why we have police, cids, mopols, customs, and sss, and even private security firms. Acquire the tools for the police and give them the training. Security is an investment in our investment - vio

Wasting fuel flying helicopters. Instead of flying drones as over watch and having rapid deployment forces available to use the helicopters in case of banditry.

At half the cost.

Why is Nigeria cursed with morons in leadership positions
there is only one cursed fellow from a cursed family here ,look inward grin

Nope...not all the way from north to south east but within south east alone. The major thing they did was extortion. Last week, I took a trip from onitsha to Oko, just Oko and the number of road blocks I saw mounted by police men is alarming shocked before, say early last year, no police men on the way from ontisha to oko. And you knw what policemen are capable of. Massive extortion grin

So because VIPs will be plying this road for 6 weeks, they are providing all these security covers. What happens when Abuja airport opens eventually?.The government should learn to provide wholistic security solutions that covers all citizens and locations in Nigeria.

I tire for this govt oo.
D same way they are now 'pumping' dollars into d forex market, treating d symptom instead of the disease.
Flying helicopters all over d route will even heighten fear and create panic.
