every case is different, yes the chances decrease,still doesnt make it impossible. just as some in their twenties who are medically suppose to more fertile have difficult time conceiving.

or should i tell you about women who thought they were already menopausal but still naturally got pregnant?

Fertility drugs and family history of twins are known to boost a woman's chances of having twins. Hormonal changes that come with age are another reason, a new study states.

The study comes from researchers at Vrije University Medical Centre in the Netherlands. They included professor Roy Homburg of the university's division of reproductive medicine.

Homburg and colleagues found that older women have higher levels of a hormone called FSH, prompting greater likelihood of having fraternal twins. The study appears online in Human Reproduction.

naturally O, according to her they waited a year after marriage and then they started trying and got pregnant in the first month of trying , should say that this is a lady that kept up a very healthy lifestyle

I had my last child at age 43 last year and the pregnancy was okay with out complications. Had a bouncing healthy baby. I did not notice that my age was any disadvantage. Just pray that God keeps me alive to watch her grow and stand on her feet. Two of my kids are younger than my Granddaughter.At first I found tht somewhat odd but now it seems so natural to me.

wow mutter, bet you are a real African woman! I have an uncle who is a year older than me.And my mom isnt my granny's 1st child o! my other cousins are alot older than my uncle. We just are fertile lot and I believe our diet and lifestyle has alot to do with it. Remember Abacha's wife had her last baby in her 50s too
