Why are we lacking sensitivity in this country? Why would someone use the photo of the dead in a jocular fashion? Show some respect and sensitivity please.

These herdsmen are pure evil.

They value their cattle more than their children,

Talk less of a farmer or his crops.

They are too lazy to stay in one place & farm,

but they wait for farmers to cultivate, then they will

go to graze their beloved animals.

Most of the unrests we have in the country today

is caused by backwardness of the Fulani herdsmen & religious fanatics..

Nice gesture.

This is how farmer cattle herder infringement is being settled in the north all along - the herder is made to pay compensation for the damage caused; if he doesn't have money, then some of the cows are sold by the local authorities and the money is used to compensate the farmer - case solved.

The menace of cows roaming around Abuja municipal is saddening. There is virtually no part of Abuja that is spared from this madness. I saw them around Life camp Abuja last week and people in the area said they are used to it as the cows are mostly owned by who is who. The appropriate authority should do the needful. There must not be any Sacred Cow. #pununintended#

The Fulani's will soon come for his life. This is what is happening in Benue. Govt must prohibit nomadic rearing of cattle.

This is no longer funny. Lots of farmers have abandoned their farms so that they won't lose their lives confronting killer herdsmen.

From Benue to taraba, nasarawa to kogi, Enugu and ebonyi , Kaduna and Ogun. The story is the same.

The government, security agencies and lawmakers are just pretending that all is well. They prefer to stick their heads in sand like an ostrich forgetting that their romps are exposed.

How many deaths of both Fulani and farmers will it take before this issue is handled properly.

The court had ordered that since nobody came to claim ownership of the cows, they should be sold out and the money be used in compensating the affected farmer,” the DPO added.

Lol...this is funny. It's a good decision taking it to the police station. I just hope the herdsmen won't attack the farmer to taking such decision. Still don't understand why people have to suffer moving cows from one state to another by feet under the sun or rain meanwhile the owners are in their mansions enjoying. It's not fair at all. The owners of these cows should build a ranch and stop this modern day slavery.

He didn't do bad. Although everything supposed to be written down in our laws, what to do when what happens. He supposed to tie it down and then call the police.
But he did well instead of harming it or going to fight the owner as some are doing leading to killing people. The poor animal has no wisdom, it is the owner that will be responsible for the trespass

I have witnessed this live before now. A fulani man will just deliberately lead his cows to a farm and Get a whole crops that a farmer spent some days enduring d scorching sun to tilt d soil and plant d crops, destroyed. It has happened severally, and a lot of people got killed on attempts to chase them away.
This people are just thorns on d flesh of Nigeria.
