A google search result for Hausa Language, Igbo Language, and Yoruba Language, shows that Hausa Language is more popular online with about 737,000 results, followed by Yoruba with 700,000 results, Igbo lagged behind with only 269,000 results.

Maybe this is as a result of Hausa Language being taught at many American and European universities, etc.

NB: One funny thing is the keyword "Yoruba" returns 7.9 Million results, while the keyword "Hausa" returns 6.2 Million results, and the keyword "Igbo" returns only 1.8 Million results. These results shows that Yoruba people are using the Internet or at least referenced much more than Hausa and Igbo.

The result may have been there since before Yaradua became president. The techniques involved in getting to the top of google search results is by having referenced on many websites etc, I'm sure, if you might search the keywords Hausa Yoruba Igbo, at the same time, you will get more resources on Hausa, followed by Yoruba then Igbo.
