people have children so they can have someone like you who doesnt know the reason why people have children. j/k God said "go and multiple the world". so having kids is an order from the man upstairs want a family, continuation of lineage, financial and economy reasons, love, companionship, societal and family pressure, are just few of the reasons people have children. |

Fhemmmy: one reason is this: children are seen as an economic asset and not a liability. in most parts of the world children serve as a major economic support in their parent's old age. for example, rural villagers lack the necessary pension plans that would support them in the old age, As it is in Nigeria for example. Nigeria government don't have any pensions plans for the elderly as it is with the most countries for example the American Social Security benefits or other similar benefits developed countries provide for their retired and elderly citizens. for many parents their children is their hope in their old age in terms of economic well-being. and also many parents use their children to better their economic status by having them work in the farm, and doing other works, which helps the parents and saves them money they would otherwise pay others to have the work done. and also, many government incentivize couples with children. |

People have children because its only natural to reproduce. If the first humans never had children, none of us would be here today. |
