Solomon was born in 1000BC in Jerusalem the capital of Israel to King David and Bathsheba. He was also known as Jedidiah.

He reigned between 970 and 931 BC. He is described as the third king of the united monarchy, and the final king before the northern kingdom of Israel and the Southern kingdom of Judah split.

Stories and time of King Solomon was recorded in the Books of Kings and Chronicles of the Bible.



Though Solomon was not the eldest son of David, but David promised Bethseba that Solomon would be the next king of Israel which he fulfilled when his eldest son, Adonijah declared himself king, David ordered his servants to bring Solomon to Gidon Spring where the priest anointed him while David was still alive.
