The suspension of Senator Ndume, has been described as a violation of the Nigerian constitution by The Citizens Advocacy for Social and Economic Rights (CASER).
The ED, CASER, Mr. Frank Tietie, said that Ndume’s suspension amounts to crass intolerance on the part of majority of Nigerian senators.
CASER has issued the Nigerian Senate a 48 hours ultimatum to rescind the suspension of go to court.
This statement was made by Mr Tietie, the executive director of the organisation, on Thursday, March 30 in Abuja, where he described the suspension of Ndume as a violation of Section 39 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which guarantees the right to hold an opinion and to express same, Daily Trust reports.
