This my broilers want to disgrace me oh, after I go buy vaccine today against tomorrow, I came back to see them acting funny - *Shaking their heads occasionally, as if chasing a fly from its head, while making sound like when drawing catarrh *Panting as if under heat stress (though the weather is cool *some even showing respiratory symptoms (breathing fast ,their faces look puffed *appear to have lost appetite I think these are tell tale signs of gapeworm, I'm going to have to treat for that tomorrow.... |

@ senatordeproff please where may I get nipple drinkers in Enugu |
Re: ... by ezkimow(m): 12:24pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
EMMAACHILE: @oga Emma, its not swollen, it just looks funny (for lack of better description) They still eat well, I think the appetite drop was just a little. The head shaking is like they are trying to clear their airways or head of something, but there's no nasal discharge from any of them. Some open their mouth while breathing especially while exhaling, sometimes dey do something like yawning, but shorter than yawning, more like just opening and closing the mouth while stretching the neck out a bit.

Re: ... by ezkimow(m): 6:56pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
Cassie74: Have u tried Indocid?, mix the content of the capsules with some chicken feed or any other food in powdery form(like bread crumbs)and place it at strategic points where the rats can gain access, Caution!!! Do NOT let your birds eat from it, else they'd sleep to their death!!! 1 Like |

Re: ... by Nobody: 7:27pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
ezkimow:You abused the gentadox. What's the recommended days to use it? 3 or 5 days? |
Re: ... by ezkimow(m): 7:32pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
EMMAACHILE: I was supposed to use for 4 days But the birds showed symptoms of coxx which I had to treat(I didn't have much of a choice),remember I asked you if they could get infected that early, and after the treatment with centre-dicox dey were OK and fine this one they are doing now only started yesterday |
Re: ... by Nobody: 9:06pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
ezkimow:Even admacine was not followed. Hope you will not have resistance to this antibiotics. |
Re: ... by ezkimow(m): 9:29pm On Nov 27, 2018 |
EMMAACHILE: Hmm I tire, I stopped the admacine because of vaccine, and this showed up a day before vaccination I'll just watch them, and leave the first vaccine for day 14 or so, dey should be better by then Thanks anyway |

EMMAACHILE: @ Eskimo, bros, dis ur drugs are too much, and AL u end up achieving is building d birds immunity against dis drugs. I av personally posted a day to day schedule on dis thread b4, kindly go back and read d thread from beginning it will help. Looking at what u av done so far, I will advice u give dem multivitamin den administer lasota after which u give dem enough multivitamin for at least 2days. Plus u av to maintain a healthy environment, I mean ur litter has to be neat, very neat and the room has to be airy enough. 1 Like |

sammorad:OK, thanks for the Advice, but I've bought Gumboro already since on Monday before noticing their behavior, but it's in the fridge - just wanted to know if they can be given that first, because that's what is on the schedule I was given at the vet store. And for the drugs, I'm aware of resistance, I only had to end some medications prematurely because of the prevailing situation, it's not like I wanted to just load them with drugs, left to me I'm OK with just giving them vitamin treated water. I'm going to let them be on vitamins for the next three days and see if they can be vaccinated by the weekend or earlier. Thanks for your concern, very much appreciated |
Re: ... by sammorad(m): 10:18pm On Nov 28, 2018 |
ezkimow: from ur schedule, ur birds are now on day 10. U should av given Gumboro on day 8, but no wahala. Let us prevent d Gumboro which is a more deadly disease. Administer ur Gumboro vaccine and give dem multivitamin for 2days, Anoda disease u should watch out for at dis age is cocci, for with anti cocci for 3 days, den give multivitamin for 1day den give lasota, Don't just give drugs any how Research has shown dt at certain ages dre are certain disease we can prevent, not to say dt other tins cannot happen ooooo But God will help us feel free, to call my line on my profile if need be. Let us share knowledge |
