Lessons From Singapore For Nigeria!!! by Veritasafrique: 7:18pm On Apr 08, 2017
History has it that seeing no other alternative to avoid further bloodshed, Singapore was expelled from Malaysia. Rather than being a thing of joy, history has it that a tearful Lee Kuan Yew made a televised press conference announcing that Singapore has become a Sovereign State. He shed tears not out of joy but out of desperation. In his own words, “for me, it is a moment of anguish. All my life, my whole adult life, I have believed in merger and unity of the two territories." He thought that their destiny was in Malaysia and have been expelled from Malaysia he shed tears of sorrow.

Nigeria has much to learn from this history. To avoid further bloodshed, Singapore was expelled. In Nigeria to save the lives of many citizens, something needs to be done. Enough blood has been shed due to ethnic conflicts. Do we need outsiders to tell us to think twice or to go our different ways in order to prevent further bloodshed?

Singapore is today a great nation having gone away from Malaysia. In Nigeria, rather than many states being together, fighting one another, destroying one another, it may be better for the different parts to find their way and look for their destiny. It is either the country is restructured or let the different parts find their way in order to make a meaningful development. Whatsoever that will propel us to achieving success individually to me is accepted.
I hate depending on others.

The timid northers will not like this, they prefer being a parasite. To them, oil money is too sweet to leave.

Funny that most of the anti-Biafran sentiments on this forum are not from northerners but from a group of people we know as afonja aka Unity beggars.

Nigeria has been a jungle, rather than people living in a jungle where there is no rule of law, it is better for Nigeria to divide

The only hope of survival for Nigeria is restructuring. Without this, it will be to your tents oh Israel.

Five Pillars that make a Nation!!!
These are the five pillars on which a strong nation is built. The strength of any nation and the ability of such a nation to develop fast depend on the strength of these pillars:

1.Willingness to be together (Free choice of all parties)

2.The Nature of being together (How)

3.National Ideology (National Common Goal and how to reach the goal)

4.National Constitution (National Guide)

5.The Rule of Law (The National watchdog)

These five pillars are very evident in all nations outside Africa. In all these nations, there is the existence of the rule of law. One may commit an offence but he or she must be answerable before the law. Nobody is above the law, starting from the president. The law respects nobody outside Africa. What does it look like in Africa?

It is not a news that these five pillars do not exist in any of the African countries today. In Africa, there is nothing like the rule of law. That is why all these confusions. The other pillars must be in place before one can talk of the rule of law which is the last pillar and the watchdog. We do not have the rule of law in Africa but if you think we do, why must the Gambian president utter such statements after losing election? Why must the Nigerian president flout the court of law at will? Why must the South African president rule the country with his whims and caprices? It is unfortunate. But there is still hope.

We need to go back to the drawing board. We have our houses on the sand. It is obligatory for us to establish the foundation. There is no other way out of this mess other than coming together for dialogue in order to commence a socio-political restructuring of each African country (amalgam). Any person within or outside Africa, who is against this process of socio-political restructuring of African countries is the greatest enemy of Africa. In a very short time we lay down the program for this process as we shall explain the pillars one after another and how we are to achieve our goal of making Africa great!!! Long live Africa!!!

For now you can say what you want to say, but when the country is finally broken is when you'll see the impact of the North and northerners to the entity called Nigeria.
