Frequent hair removal is necessary to stay smooth, causing regular irritation of the shaved or waxed area. Many doctors say it is not unusual to find patients with boils and abscesses on their private parts from shaving as well as cellulitis, an infection of the scrotum. These are good points that I was not aware of before reading your post!

I used to shave this area once a week but have resorted to something else now called sugaring which is completely natural and doesn't even really hurt, not as much as waxing anyway. It's so much better than shaving because the hairs don't grow back like stubble but instead they are softer and thinner.
