Am telling you, all what this people care about is just how to collect from the masses and there won't be nothing or nothing much to show for it.
Trust me, the insurance policy will be one of pdp campaign selling point. If the policy would an ongoing payment and not a one time payment. Pdp would come and say, they will cancel it and people will fall for it.
Aside from pdp trying to use this as a yardship to win election, people might want to have a feel of another party.
No o! not at all. PDP campaign sell point you said? That makes them a set/group of clowns. Insurance is a very welcome idea, imagine you having a house without an insurance and the house got fire or maybe flood occurred, the cost of repairing will be bear by you only. It only a small change, for example a house valved of 20m with a rate of 0.25%highest for fire =N50, 000.00

U lack knowledge about insurance

If you understand the benefit of having comperensive Insurance on your car.. Then u will knw that for house, its Important... Some pple are doing it before government implement it

Come look many building that collapse this days, where so u think the owner will start.... Its for their own safety..

U lack knowledge of reality

I as a homeowner will not pay kobo. All Lagos policies are about income generation rather than providing amenities.

Do you know the cost of survey has gone to a million Naira in Eti Osa? I am not sure if they have started implementing it.

Do you know Lagos State wants you to pay to sink borehole in your compound?

If it is enforced, the cost will definitely be transferred to the tenants. The majority of the people will suffer and bear the cost together.

They want to copy developed country in money generation but they are not ready to provide developed country amenities.

Having an insurance should be left to the homeowner and not enforced. This is not enforced in the US unless you have a mortgage and the bank will want to protect their investment.

If you own your own home, you’ll need to have buildings cover just in case your home is damaged and needs a repair. It’s usually a condition of your mortgage and, if you’re a landlord, it’s your responsibility – not your tenants. Although it’s not compulsory, if you own your own home this sort of insurance should be a top priority

For your info Lagos Govt is not collecting a dime. They are only providing a platform for the insurance companies, like every sane society will do to protect its people.

Insurance is a life saver, ignorance can kill.....
Keep deceiving yourself. Cost of insurance will be passed to tenants.
