Slow and steady wins the race in everything you want. You want to lose 40kg and you go on this very fast diet and you could lose 5kg in 5 weeks but you end up regaining the whole weight the next month.
Well, it is expected that your body can’t sustain that kind of starvation diet permanently. What you need is to shift to eating moderately always.
One Kilogram is 2.2 pounds so a slow and steady way to lose weight is to lose one pound a week. Slow and steady is the right way to go when trying to lose weight and you need to start right now.
Today, you would be tempted to eat too much, tomorrow you will be tempted to eat too much, and at the end procrastination will kill your dream of getting that lean body.
The simple truth is this-if you lose more calories than you take in every day, you will lose weight
A pound is 3,500 calories, so to lose a pound a week; you need to lose 500 calories every day. You can try to lose 250 calories by diet and 250 through exercise. It is said that weight loss is 80 percent diet and 20 percent exercise. So it is much easier to lose 500 calories by only dieting than to lose 500 calories by only exercise. But if you want to lose 500 calories a day, you can also lose 400 calories by diet and 100 by exercise.
You can take a brisk walk for an hour a day, and eat three small portions of food a day (breakfast can be moderate but dinner should be very tiny), with nothing fatty in your diet.
Avoid high-fat food like fried foods, ice-cream, pork chops, hot dogs and candy bars, and pop-corn. Don’t take liquid calories eg soft drinks like coke, teas, lattes, milkshakes and processed fruit drinks. Also, only eat tiny portions of meat.
Liquid drinks can be especially fatty; one can of regular soda is like 140 calories. Drinking the recommended eight glasses of water must be the easiest and most permanent part of your weight loss strategy.
You can eat plenty of fruits-(fruits are bad for the
teeth so you can blend them and drink from a straw) and vegetables, fruits, lean meats, seeds, nuts, fish, whole grains and beans. They are rich of nutrients.
But you can take a snack to satisfy your craving once a week, like chocolate, or ice-cream, or cake but it must only be a moderate portion-not too big.If you don’t satisfy your craving once a week, you may be tempted to over indulge constantly.
A 30 minute workout session five days a week, is enough to burn calories and lose weight. 200 calories might be lost from a 30 minute workout but you might eat a 400 calories snack that same day so be careful.
Satan would come to tempt you to eat too much each day (he could come to tempt you every day so you can end up fat forever) - Resist with the Word of God-Eat in moderation.
Little drops of water make a mighty ocean. A little meat, a little cake, a little ice-cream each day and you would end up with a obese, uncomfortable body, little hope of getting married and since eating too much is a sin, Jesus will send you to hell when you die.
As for those quick pills that make you lose 20pounds in 2 weeks, don’t even try them as they can kill you. They are a fast cheating way to success and look at information on the internet- chromium diet pills may cause cancer, the diet drug Meridia,was pulled from the market in 2010 for raising the risk of heart attack and stroke. Slow and steady wins the race is a wise saying and all wisdom comes from God.
Well, as for surgery if you have it but don’t start eating moderately, you would gain the weight back after a while, so why don’t you just start eating moderately and lose more than 37 pounds in the 37 weeks left this year. You will be slim and can remain that way if you keep eating moderately and never procrastinate your diet.
