BMW vehicles are traditionally very hardy.

The issue here is the naija used aspect. They do require specific and timely maintenance.

Op.. .....you can Neva go wrong with a BMW E46.
Bmw is a solid brand and the e46 is their strongest and most reliable model.
Contrary to popular belief, it is very cheap to maintain if not cheaper than a Toyota sef and the fuel consumption is very good
I'll advise you to go for the 6 cyl 2.0-2.5l engine.
The e46 is a classic case of eating your cake and having it.
It's strong and reliable with good street rep and also easy to maintain with low fuel consumption.
I've been driving one for 4 yrs and still looks new.
Don't worry, a trial will convince you

You are right but the best ever built BMW is the E39. Go look it up sir.

Do a root cause analysis and all your problems would be no more. Don't just do reactionary repairs.

Ps: gasket/seal leaks originated from the water pump issue.
Vanos and oil sensor issues are from inappropriate engine oil
