Exactly, how was your night? is a Nigerian question, there are certain words and phrases that are offensive to some people in a culture and are less offensive or not at all offensive to other cultures, for instance saying "your father" in Nigeria is offensive, if you said the word "Ben" around Mandarin speakers the will probably be offended because it means stupid, when someone in Europe says "I will Knock you up in the morning" it simply means they are going to wake you up, to an American listener it means a whole different things.

I think we should start to understand that the meaning of most of these phrases is cultural, and it is language, as long as every single Nigerian understand what you mean and you are not violating any English rules, I guess it is okay

You are completely right. The context matters a lot and for the average Nigerian, they know the message being communicated by a particular phrase or question.

Another one which comes to mind is the Brits asking "Are you okay?", in Nigeria that would be considered an insult aka is your head correct? but for them what they mean is "how are you?"

There is nothing wrong asking "are you the last person"? Just that many Nigerians are too religious they will quickly get annoyed and say "they won't be the last in Jesus name".

Asking are you the last person in the queue is also calling the attention of the people in the queue, we all know how some Nigerians behave, that's when you will see some unknown person from nowhere claiming space.

I think these questions are our Naija made questions, each country has it own stuffs.

This reminds me of when a person is about to enter a lift in a building and asks those inside "are you going up or down?", and the person inside replies "I am going up by God's grace" although in reality they are heading to a lower floor.

The number 4 question is usually asked because many people book spaces at the ATM since the queue can be very long sometimes.. So, asking if "someone is the last" (if you like interprete it as the last person on earth, na you sabi) makes sense in this context.
