The number 4 question is usually asked because many people book spaces at the ATM since the queue can be very long sometimes.. So, asking if "someone is the last" (if you like interprete it as the last person on earth, na you sabi) makes sense in this context.

What is the difference between how was your night and hope you slept well? If I went ahead to ask how did you spend your night then that can come in.

I have misgivings about some of these points but let me deal with No 4. What is wrong with making enquiries? actually, "are you the last?" might be incomplete as a question buy are you the last person on the queue is not totally out of place, this is because some people register their presence with the person in front of them and then go ahead to attend to other issues within the bank. Even if the question is "are you the last" for short, you understand what he/she meant, pls don't be complex, cut these guys some slack.

Have you taken time to actually know the meaning of how was your night? It means how was your sexual experience last night., and the are you the last, you got to an ATM and you saw 3 people on queue and no other person in sight, and its obvious its the person standing last on queue instead of you join the queue, you are now asking if the person is the last., Are you that blind that you cant see the obvious?

Obviously you av never been on a que for about 15mins and somebody wud appear from nowhere, when you are about 3people away from the ATM/counter and tell you "av bin on this queue sinx last nite". pls you can ask the man in front of u

Well done OP. I am not particularly surprised at the replies to your post. Goes to show how very terrible the grammar of most of the commenters are. I found 'how was your night?' weird when I had first heard it. I remember thinking "How TF wud I know? I was fv.cking sleeping"
And some others are just annoyingly invasive. Like they have ownership rights on MY life.

its actually not necessary... it leads to useless argument..

i told him first.. no i told her first... i told the other person behind him first... then theres confusion...

why not you do the bank things then join the queue when ready... if u arent ready then dont cause confusion..
