See Nigerians trying to justify their acts lol. Just accept it, Its bad. Dont ask such again lol and if you must ask the queue question asking if someone is last can be annoyingly rude. Its better asked like. Are you the last person on queue or better still hope there is no one at your back lol. These are bad habits we picked from Naija, please dont go and do it abroad ooo
What is bad about how was ur night? A lot of pple do a lot with their night. Not everybody is wired to have sex every night like you.

"Are you the last" is very valid. Its simply for you to know ur position on the ATM queue and book space. The rest may be stupid though.

OP, bone that matter.
As for number 4; asking if the person is the last on the line is also a way to save yourself trouble sometimes. What if the person before the supposed last person took an excuse to go pee of make/answer a call and he comes back to claim his spot and you think it's someone who's just tryna play a fast one.

So, you should take away number 4......
Shid! You should delete this shiddy thread. I think you must be a prideful human being from this your post
Re: 10 Stupid Questions You Seriously Need To Stop Asking by sandammy(m): 3:49pm On Apr 19, 2017
I don't see how the number 4 is a stupid question. It happens a lot when people try to book space on a queue. Like " I'm behind you" You wouldn't want me to queue at your back without telling me somebody has already booked a space only to be my turn and the person to appear telling me he/she was behind you. How do you think I'll react. That is why we usually ask if you're the last person n the queue.

if some of these questions offends you, especially 1&4 then you have a problem.

YOU have the problem because despite the attempt to correct you, you are obstinate in your error.
Only in Nigeria do people ask 'how was your night?' You don't own a night.
The correct expression is 'did you sleep well?' or perhaps ' how did the night go ?'

Also, when you get to a queue join it at the end. There should be no need to communicate with the last person on the queue beyond a polite 'good day'. Because we are so crooked that we 'keep spaces' for people who are not physically present, this practice of inquiry has become prevalent.

The op is 100% correct.
You on the other hand should learn something new today.

Actually, there is nothing wrong with how much did you buy it?...That person might just want an update on the current price in case...Are you the last person is very complex sometimes, alot things happen in the bank that we all know, Sometimes some would come, take space and go back to seat down, probably they are not strong or for other reasons...Why I personally why I ask that in Bank is, I would first collect space, later go to collect my teller, fill it gently and carefully before returning to my position which at that time must have been far in the queue.

Have you taken time to actually know the meaning of how was your night? It means how was your sexual experience last night., and the are you the last, you got to an ATM and you saw 3 people on queue and no other person in sight, and its obvious its the person standing last on queue instead of you join the queue, you are now asking if the person is the last., Are you that blind that you cant see the obvious?

Your analysis is all wrong my dear.. Sometimes when u come to the bank for any transaction, they ask the people on the queue to sit down. So when someone comes in, it is nt bad to ask the person been attended to if he/she is the last person.

This should be the most useless post I've ever seen on NL.

The OP and MOD that pushed this to FP need mental rehab.

Look here son, all the questions you listed have nothing wrong with them as it all depends on the situation on ground and who is asking.

For instance, your doctor could ask you question 9 with respect to family planing.

Question 4 will help you avoid conflict with others in public places.

In my opinion, I think you are just another arrogant dude walking on the planet.

1,4 &6 rubbish.

If you can't ask someone about their night, then say a better sentence to use then.

Re: 10 Stupid Questions You Seriously Need To Stop Asking by Simonagbons(m): 3:58pm On Apr 19, 2017
That's your own interpretation but to so many Nigerians, it's the opposite. Have seen people fighting to use the ATM cos they claimed they were on the queue but stepped aside to get something.
How was your night is a question I always ask, it doesn't mean am asking of their sexual activities, am only asking if they slept well, if there was heat and lots of mosquito. So permit me to say that's your own interpretation

Will you join a queue without asking questions and when you are about to withdraw 10 people who were there before will pop out of nowhere. Asking will keep you informed and won't raise your hope when you are to withdraw.

That is the Nigerian way and it is a symptom of our backwardness.
If you're sitting down, you're not on the queue.
If you go away you are not on the queue.
The 'queue' in this sense, is a body of people standing in an orderly line.
Simple.

If a person for some reason or the other cannot stand in line, he/she should leave and come back at a more opportune time and join at the tail, or be given immediate priority and placed ahead of people who came before them.

Don't go away and claim to be on the queue. You are not.

Everything in Nigeria is different and odd.

@op, u should have make it three or four questions instead of ten, to make more sense. Only question 5, 8, 9 and probably 10, seems odd to me, however "wen re u getting married'' may not be odd as its mostly asked by parents (mum especially) or guardians and I tink its a responsible n careing question if it comes from such people. Therefore most of d questions are not dumb and if u insist, then hold it as ur personal odd opinions
