Try this
restrict all background apps but you won't be able to receive notifications if you don't open the app.
settings > Data usage then press the 3 dot at the top right hand corner.
OR
restrict them individually settings> App > click on the app > data usage > swipe to network, there you see "restrict app background data".

I've experienced similar thing with my former phone.
It all started when I took the phone for charging issues to a repairer. Once I tested the camera, only the front one came up and it was inverted. I went back to the repairer and he fixed it. I think he did not connect the camera when he coupled the phone the first day I gave him my phone.

I dont know if the little rain I faced yesterday might have affected it or maybe it could be as a result of over-working the RAM.

You can try to remove the battery for a minute.
You can do a reset by clicking the power button and either the volume up or down simultaneously, when the phone is off. It will bring out a menu. You can navigate with the volume and power buttons.
