Because he's too proud, u can't see an American general doing this. It has become an habit amongst our generals in Nigeria

Why will a general in the army be using walking stick?

What have YOU personally done in your own worthless life? You are only good at criticising others.

What have YOU to show apart from hot air coming through your lips?

Do you realise Bill Gates was a school dropout? Yet look at what he achieved.

Stay there and be finding fault in others while you remain useless.

Nothing. He's one of the useless members here who can only criticize others when they themselves have contributed nothing to society.

I want to go for SSC after I finish uni, perhaps the need for a military sponsor would be much more relaxed by then.

nice one. The only professional military organization we have in Nigeria. Serious and focused at their mission. meanwhile Nigeria Army checkpoints along Lagos to Sagamu express should be monitored. We spent more than two hours on hold up around eleven PM yesterday night only to find the 3 army checkpoints created the artificial hold up because of the bribes they are collecting

Its a good start, but more needs to be done in terms of funding and technology acquisition to kick-start various military R & D projects.
We should be working towards building our own indigenous tank and trainer aircraft.
In 2017
In 1967, during the civil war, Igbos built weapons that far outclassed these rubbish with even bare hands.

Sad.

This plenty comparison here with North Korea sef:

North Korea does not acquire weapons to kill citizens of North Korea.

Nigeria acquires weapons to kill Nigeria's citizens.

North Korea trains its army to face its many foreign enemies.

Nigeria trains its army to face its citizens - like a police force. Nigeria has no foreign enemies.

I havent read anything more stupid than this in a very long time. cry

Nigeria should have employed all the military engineers that worked for the defunct rogue state Biafra. We should have built on the successes achieved, especially during the time of Gowon when Nigeria had "too much" money,by now we'd probably be manufacturing BVR and fuel propelled missiles.
But at least,we are getting somewhere with the current drive.

You are an almajiri in mentality. You are getting no where. Try and do fiam, after about two months combat, you shall understand that all that is left for you are Koran and Cattle.

Believe me bro, there is no drive!
With the budget for military R&grin, we can even poach or steal/attract competent foreign engineers amd technicians who can bring in the much needed expertise and leap frog nation into the modern age.
Imagine a scenario where overseas secondary school students are using advanced equipment to analyse the compositions of foodstuffs and sequencing DNA while in Nigeria we are drawing butterflies and grasshoppers. undecided undecided

Same thing in every sector of this nation.
Quota system won't allow innovation and drive.

Mismanagement and refusal to bring in technocrats and allow them to work without political interference has stifled Nigeria for so long.
Nigeria should have foreign military bases with strategic hardwares positioned all over Africa and have economic treaties with other African nations by now,if we had managed our political system well since 1960.We should be challanging US/France dominance in Africa by now!.
