What's with top military brass and using walking stick?? If I were the President, I'd ban such acts. If these guys need walking stick then they shouldn't be in the military for goodness sake!!

Mismanagement and refusal to bring in technocrats and allow them to work without political interference has stifled Nigeria for so long.
Nigeria should have foreign military bases with strategic hardwares positioned all over Africa and have economic treaties with other African nations by now,if we had managed our political system well since 1960.We should be challanging US/France dominance in Africa by now!.
It is a sorry situation we find ourselves really.
There was this report during the IBB era of two young airforce fighter pilots who bombed their targets with pinpoint accuracy during a military show. They performed the feat repeatedly with perfect accuracy and IBB and other top brass took fright.
Both guys were retired immediately after the event because it was said that Aso Rock feared that they can be compromised and can hit the villa with precision in the event of a coup.

Just imagine the reason for disengaging your brightest stars!!

If only we spent as much on science as we waste on religious nonsense.

Imagine if all that money that is frittered away on sending people on pilgrimage was spent on something useful, such as investigative science...
At least make dem pray nah for God to forgive them so meningitis no go afflict them according to Yari.

Fool-upon-fools everywhere you look in this country

Will corruption AGREE

Corruption is embedded in the global arms industry. It doesn't stop progress.

Same reason why Obasanjo starved the military of funding, this "kill others because they are better" mentality is most common among africans.
It is sad to note that except the Shehu Shagari's massive military armament acquisition programme,no other administration has taken military development seriously, not even with the Boko Haram,Niger Delta, and Biafra threats, until the day a foreign country drops a bomb on aso rock.

Bloody stupid dunce. Did North Korea start by launching massive weapons or did they go through various Research and Development stages on the way to their latest release? Ignorant self hating fools like you and the animals who liked your post are the people dragging us back. Every progress we make, all you can do is vomit your spiteful garbage, even though left to your own devices you could not produce a single pin from your empty dullard skull..

Stupid pig.
Are you in any way amongst the producers of the said "Air Defence Systems"?
Why all the venom bro?
Relax, drink one orijin and know that hatred won't better your argument or the country

Its a good start, but more needs to be done in terms of funding and technology acquisition to kick-start various military R & D projects.
We should be working towards building our own indigenous tank and trainer aircraft.

To you and your likers,
North Korea started somewhere. They don't have NEPA to worry about.

I can't recall them bro. That was in the 80s.
It was akin to what happened in the Ejigbo C-130 military plane crash that took the lives of some of our finest officers. It was rumoured too that IBB used it to purge the military of elements likely to be a challenge to him.

This country is in deep problem i tell you.
How can we choose mediocrity over excellence just because of ethnicity even when we see that it is killing our progress and unity?

Imagine how you see a super eagles player on the pitch if you are a fan. You see them first as Naija before even thinking where he came from whether igbo, hausa or yoruba.
If you are Igbo and an Igbo player messes up or squanders opportunities, you shout hala, call him names, but if a yoruba player scores, you dance skelewu and declare drinks despite being of a different ethnic grp from him.

That's what we should have but whosai?
The leaders would rather we killed each other while they share the loot and frolic abroad.
