Jonathan's Apology To Nigerians As A Sign Of Humility.-can by sammyzacks(m): 5:18pm On Jan 04, 2010 |
Hayab described Vice President Jonathan's apology to Nigerians as a sign of humility and a new approach to governance. He said: "At least we are beginning to have a new approach to governance for the government at the federal level to come out to apologize for their inability to keep to their promise. To me, it is a welcome development, when a government is humble enough to come out and say we could not keep our promise then it shows that we are heading somewhere. "In the past, with pride and arrogance, government will not even care whether it keeps its promises or not. So that shows that something is about to happen although that will not give us electricity or what we want. I believe that action and concrete commitment to whatever government promise to do" he said Secretary of the Kaduna State chapter of CAN, Rev. Joseph Hayab, in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Kaduna said the absence of the President Yar'Adua has created a serious vacuum in the governance of the nation, stressing that the FEC and the National Assembly should apply constitutional provisions to take care of his absence. http://allafrica.com/stories/201001040348.html |

the issue is not about the apology. the issue is hw to get nigeria out of the serious mess it is now, both internationally and locally. anybody can apologise. the true humble ones are those who make efforts to rectify issues after apologizing. |
