In line with Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka's eye opening advise on how we can stop the senseless slaughters of Nigerians in the hands of herdsmen. We have watched helplessly as herdsmen slaughtered villages, ravaged farmlands and violated married women.
All these was done to sell a most expensive cow meat to you and take your hard earned money.

The Nigerian government and its entire security apparatus have claimed "inability" to arrest prosecute and stop further herdsmen massacres of villages. Instead the government has come up with a plan to annex your farmlands and hand them to herdsmen as "grazing sites"

The question is what can the ordinary Nigeria do in the face of our government's collusion with herdsmen to continue killing us until we hand over our land to them as grazing fields?

Nigerians can stop eating cow meat and substitute this for chicken, pork or fish. Just a small switch like that in your diet will force the herdsmen to think twice about killing people who buy their cows. Infact, the more you eat cow in your diet, the more you condemn many more hapless people to death as your money will be used to acquire more weapons to take over more villages through massacres.

Nigerians are invited to contribute.

I thank you very much.

Ok fair enough. When will southerners who advocate for ranching start ranches. Their should also be a buy rancher cattle only movement no more herdsmen. When these guys lose market share the fight is over.

All talk, no action, 50 years from now, we would still be discussing this issue. Go check the newspaper headline of NEPA promising no more black outs in 1984, its even worse now. I remember some of these blackouts used to be announced on NTA before they occur.

Boycotts and peaceful protests over the unjust grazing reserve attempts and allied issues will work like magic. That was what Martin Luther King and co used to defeat the White segregationist in the US. The White bus owners had ti beg the blacks to end the boycott. By the way, grazing reserve is segregation and ethnic cleansing and will never work, no matter the violence employed by its proponents. Commercial ranching remains the answer, for the good of both the herdsmen and Southern Nigerians.

Why do you believe that? Do you not believe ranchers will eventually take market share from herdsmen? If ranchers are making profit paying more taxes than herdsmen and producing better quality diary and milk products there nothing to discuss.

Abstaining from beef is not the solution but let other regions/tribes acquire the knowledge of rearing cattle within confinements, it is no rocket science!

Yes, until the ranch raised beef becomes popular by indigenes of the various states, boycotting the product that arms your death is a wise interim measure. You cannot watch herdsman kill your people and then go the next minute to dash them N100,000 naira and more buying cow meat. What sense does that make? Everyone neglects the little they can do and keep waiting for God to come down from heaven to fight for them, while refusing to do the little sacrifice within their power.

Product boycotts combined with Peaceful Protests are a very effective strategy against injustice, segregation and ethnic cleansing. Those in support of grazing route should not let things get so bad that Southern human rights and online activists get together to start both o. The White supremacists thought they were supreme until Martin Luther King (MLK), and other activists started both and it brought the supremacists down to their knees.

Wole Soyinka may just be the MLK of the South whose voice the South will hear at the fullness of time for peaceful resistance to all this grazing reserves/ grazing routes injustice. Afterall, he is a Yoruba man who went to prison for the Biafran cause.

Example: Buhari said Nnamdi Kanu will never be released and today Nnamdi Kanu is walking free.

Thank you Bro.
Apart from helping prolong your life by reducing cholesterol from red meat consumption, you are helping reduce the slaughter of our people by people arming themselves with our own very money.
