i think the general nigerian name is KOLO. in the olden days it was made of mud and has a slit on the top where coins and notes can be squeezed in. When you keep squeezing the notes into the KOLO. It gets full and you can break the KOLO to get all your money out. As a child we used to compete on how much you can save in your KOLO. These days i do not really see the mud KOLO around but wooden ones are now more common.. These days people are moving from saving in KOLO at hole to Banks. However the question is.. with KOLO you are sentimental about your savings and but with banks you are not .. If your KOLO gets stolen thats the end o.. but with banks you can hold liable for your loss.. How do you save your money? 1 Like |
