True love can be a very serious issue to deal with if not handled properly. Here we give you some of the basic things to note when that boy or girl is telling you she or he loves loves you.

GIVING TEST (SACRIFICE)
Wherever there is genuine love, there will be the willingness to give or sacrifice for the sake of the other person because love gives. You cannot have love and not give. There must be a willingness to inconvenience yourself, to displease yourself must be for the sake of the other person. Giving here doesn’t have to do with money alone, but involves your time, personal comfort, properties, resources, advice, etc. giving is a very important test in determining if someone who say he or she loves you because making sacrifices must be involved willingly.

QUARELL TEST
Quarrel test has to do with quarrels, disagreements, arguments. You must know how that person reacts when there is a quarrel and ask yourself how much you are willing to take from that person if that relationship will lead to marriage. Genuine love forgives, because love covers a multiple of sins (Prov 10:12 and 1Peter 4:.  When there is a quarrel, the offending party must be able to own up and apologize to the other and not the other way round. Any love that is not tested by quarrel is a love in doubt because in the relationship between two people, it must come up unless they are both pretending.

ADMIRATION TEST
When you love someone, admiring the person won’t be a problem for you. You are proud to walk side by side. You are not afraid to show them to the public, introduce them to your family, your friends, co-workers too. You don’t feel embarrassed by them. It comes out naturally and willingly.
