Power did not worsen. It has always been extremely terrible. There was never a time power improved in this country. Definitely some animals are making money with the current situation of poor power supply. If Jesus Christ or Muhammad becomes the minister of power in Nigeria, we still won't record any improvement because of the greedy bast.ards making money off it. I don't even know why the white men gave us independence. Seems like africans don't deserve it as we can do anything reasonable since the white men left.

its sad. i think Nigeria is hopeless.. and am serious

i grew up in East Africa in the 90s . Tanzania to be precise

they took.light 3 times in 6years. and first time i saw a generator was in Nigeria

Light is not something we should be grappling with after 57 years

Read through this thread, I have had light in my area almost constantly. I am not supporting this administration in anything except that Fashola seems to be giving us light.

Go back to East Africa na, what are you doing here that you can't do there?

Azikiwe,Awolowo and all those who agitated for Nigeria's early independent didn't do well. This country was not ripe for independent as at when we got it.The white man should have colonized this country at least till late 80's.There was fewer or no basic infrastructure on ground for the country to take off.
The colonialist also left in a hurry leaving a big vacuum that brought us to this disgraceful level. Countries like South Africa,Zimbabwe,Kenya, where the whites remained and fussed into and became citizens are far ahead of us in terms of development even though they have little resources compared to us.

We allowed corruption, nepotism and religious bigotry to eat deep.into our national life.
How can one explain that after over 50 years of independence we are still struggling to generate and distribute just a little above 2000 mW of electricity while other countries we gained independence before them are already harnessing other forms of energy including wind and nuclear.

Electricity is celebrated in Nigeria if you have it consistently for one week without blinking.

Its a shame.

The 5000mw transmission we have been usually is grossly inadequate for a population of 170million,we should be thinking about what to be done to increase generations

Those military generals that didnt allow nigeria to break, they later led nigeria but only interested in keeping nigerians as slaves were not interested in moving the country forward.

Shame on them.

Mal-administration and leadership ineptitude accentuated by corruption is the bane of Nigeria. Unfortunately, Buhari is now among the leadership deficit ailing the country. He cannot lift a finger to salvage the situation. In actual fact, current rating after two years in office places him among the worst leader to have ruled this country. Election year 2019 can't come fast enough.
