Jeremiah was referring to the false prophets and priests. If the men said they would not trust in man, would they even listen to the jeremiah in the first place? Don't u trust the jeremiah that is why you can quote it?

I agree with what he said, just because God made him a prophet doesn't mean he wasn't a human being without flaws. Jeremiah told the people the truth and he didn't see himself as a God. I put my trust in God not man. Man will surely disappoint you.

Of course not all are full of deceit but none are perfect which includes Paul and Aaron. You are correct, I do not need to go to church and I don't, well not a building that you are talking about because the church is not a building. Most of the pastors today are the false prophets Jeremiah was talking about.

There is a context to all that is written in Scripture and the same way you would with every other text out there, context must be respected even when dealing with Scripture.

Jeremiah was himself a prophet at the time. Was Jeremiah equally implicated by his statement against all prophets and priests?
