Please, I just bought MTN f@stlink MF627 modem 4 days ago and to my supprise the thing had just the same problem as described here.

guys please i have thesame problem, and to my surprise i went to the MTN office and they couldn't do anything abut it, if only they can write the software out on a CD i told them, but they still couldn't help, if anyone can be kind enough to just send me solutions to playbrain@yahoo.com , my number is 08080504184

i doubt if u can update the firmware!!

BUT if the software in it is corrupted, you can update that. i used that of Huawei E160 on my Huawei E156G and it changed the mtn software to the vanilla one from huawei.

i got the software from huawei's site, the one for E156G was not there so i used that of E160. my modem works perfectly still.

i dont know about ZTE but im guessing it should be the same.

If the problem of ur MTN FASTLINK is that u can install and u've been using it befroe.All u ve to do is uninstall the program and re-install it again.If problem persist send me a mail on bunmisl@yahoo.com

You just have to keep on trying bro, you'll soon get lucky. I know rapidshare can be annoying if you don't have a premium account.
