JAMB Registrar Trying To Fix What Was Not Broken by kaysy(m): 6:52pm On May 26, 2017
It all started from registration where cyber cafés were edged out of registration with the use of VPN/VSat, thereby creating a bottle neck where some people even lost their lives in their quest to register for the exam, after all said and done, the same issue of wrong name, date of birth, sex, course and even misplacement and irregular passport capture still repeated itself.

After the exam, JAMB Registrar had to make these candidates pay N2,500 each for an error with which reason he edged out cyber cafés from registering candidates before the error can be corrected.

Now, the results are out and there is a need for him to record malpractice, without which he will not be seen as performing or outstanding, while all these are happening, students and their parents are wallowing and anguishing in bitterness, sufferings and untold hardship.

As if that is not enough, candidates that will be admitted in a school other than their chosen first choice for school will also be made to pay N2,500 to replace their first choice with the school they gained admission before they can be able to print JAMB Admission letters, as these corporate extortion is going on at every step of JAMB processes, thy are helping the FG generate billions than it has generated before while Nigerians cry and cry without any meaningful response from The Ministry of Education and the Presidency.

These were the same people that promised us a better living condition before election but now if we can return back the our previous condition we will happily thank God.

The truth here is that this current JAMB Boss is trying to fix what was not broke an he needs to have result and be called a man of astute performance. Anyway I will gladly campaign against these people come 2019. Everything is on record waiting.

Can you imagine results still not yet out after several days the exam has been written? Indeed no better caption suits the anomaly.

They ain't generating billions for FG but for their pockets alone.

Or are you going to say the same thing about lecturers who collects money from students to upgrade their results?

Gratification is the other of the day in Naija.

Its "broke"
They say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
logica:
Of course you know that's not proper English. More like African American Broken English.
It's not African-American, its a popular saying among all Americans, coined by Thomas Bertram "Bert" Lance, an American businessman who served as Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Jimmy Carter in 1977.

We should wait and see the end of this.. remember apc wouldn't be going down in 2019 without a fight... possible riggings and even some fake achievements in the North to make them vote for them.. with the millons in the north and some from the southwest they can still win

when Gaddafi was alive and making life easy for his people they never appreciated it until they gave him away to america now go and ask them how far. all I see about Nigeria's leadership is a group of selfish scumbags. can u imagine that after a governor has served for 8yrs he will be on pension after all the loots and then he will carry his bag to house of representatives but there are homes who can't afford a square meal . I weep for Nigeria we need cleansing

Anambra leads in common entrance exam

The Ministry of Education yesterday released the results of the 2017 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into 104 Federal unity schools and disclosed that two candidates from Anambra State scored the highest marks.

Acting Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Hussaini Adamu said the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu lauded the National Examination Council (NECO) for the prompt release of the results to the state’s ministries of education and NECO zonal offices across the country.

Of the 80,421 candidates that registered for the examination, only 77, 512 of them actually took the examination, held on April 8, 2017 Details of the results showed that two candidates from Anambra State, Emeka-Egbuna Chinecherem C. and Onubogu Chinazom Joyce scored 189 marks out of 200 being the highest marks, while eight candidates scored the least with four marks.

Queens College, Yaba, Lagos recorded the highest subscription with 5524, while the least subscribed college was FGGC, Monguno in Borno State with only 21 candidates.

Meanwhile, the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has refuted reports that it arrested 10,000 candidates during the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) test in Anambra State.

It, however, said to set the records straight only seven suspected students were arrested for impersonation by security men during the examination.

The report further alleged that JAMB made the disclosure but said there was no disruption in any of the examination centres.
