Senate Has Not Recommended N5 Fuel Increase

One of the conditions of the National Roads Fund Committee report is that the N5 should not come from an increase.

It should come from the present N145 per litre.

The N5 will come from what is already existing.

What has been recommended by the Senate Committee on Works is to move around the taxes in the N145 to set aside N5 out of the N145 for development of new roads and refurbishment of existing ones.

Although the Senate has not debated it yet, it comes with a clear proviso that the N5 should come from the existing template.

NIGERIA HAS PASSED THE ERA OF FUEL PRICE INCREASE.

WHAT WE NOW OPERATE IS MAXIMUM PRICE POLICY UNDER PRICE MODULATION SYSTEM.

NOT EVEN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY CAN DISTORT THE PRESENT SYSTEM.
