He was accosted by the criminals while returning from Agbor and was robbed of about N200, 000 cash. The hoodlums also held him hostage for hours as they collected his ATM card and requested for his pin. He was finally released after the money in his account was withdrawn and his phones and other valuables were collected.

According to him, his captors offered him cigarettes and Alomo before dropping him close to a village in Ughelli, Delta state.

No dear it isn't. Do you know what kidnapping means? It is very rare over here in the US. Someone being robbed is not the same as someone being kidnapped and held hostage for money. I've never been robbed and I am not aware of anyone in my family who has been robbed while over here in the US. But I know plenty of people who have been in Nigeria. Also if you're talking about specific areas, most of the crime is concentrated in very small areas of those cities. I'm not saying crime does not happen in the US, but it is not comparable to what happens in Nigerian.
