It depends on how much it has eaten into the person's soul, and for how long he or she has indulged in it. Ingrained habits are not that easy to change. It doesn't mean love is absent. I don't think I can put an end to a relationship over something of that nature. Seems petty.... lol.

Nothing upsets me faster than that, I don't know if I can ever overlook it

Indulgence in certain habits can be unconscious. He might vow to stop the habit but end up repeating it whenever he's not paying conscious attention to it.
