what do you think of dis if a pastor in your church call's you and says he wants you to be his third eye, meaning that you should go out and pretend and hear wat people think of him in the church and return the information back to him. what do you think is he helping the church to grow or causing more problem to the church.your response please.

Sorry to say yur pastor must have lost his spiritual eyes and depending on you for a revelation. I had a poster who always say everytime that God reveled to him of what this or that person said abt him, i finally discovered that he had a spy within the church who always gossip to him. He ended putting confusion in the church, many members left the church as a result of that. Any pastor who is always conscious of what people say abt him must have something wrong he is doing that people can talk abt. So sister don't be a party to such conspiracy of evil. If he is a true man of God, God himself will reveal to him the things he need to know. If he insist you can start searching for better church.

I will accept to do so for him, and then feed him with disinformation. What a lying pastor?

I'll tell him that someone who can't stand him secretly fancies him so that he will feel bold enough to make a move, only to end up mega embarrassed with rotten eggs on his fact.

But that is just the wicked side of me. The good side will probably tell him not to worry about what people think of him, but to go on doing god's work.

Na so e dey start, from wanting you to be his "third eye" it'll graduate to "third leg" for "support" and finally "second pillow" to replace his wife.

THE AWAKENED MAN . . .

A village girl became an unwed mother and, after several beatings, revealed who the father was: the Master living on the outskirts of the village.

The villagers trooped into the Master’s house, rudely disturbed his meditation, denounced him as a hypocrite and told him to keep the baby.
All the Master said was, “Very well. Very well.” He picked the baby up and made arrangements with the woman next door to look after
it at his expense.

His name, of course, was ruined, and his disciples all abandoned him.
When this had gone on for a year, the girl could bear if no longer and confessed that she had lied: The father was the boy next door.

The villagers bowed profoundly to the Master to beg his pardon and ask to take the baby back.
And all the Master said as he handed back the child was, “Very well. Very well.”

Why don't you just volunteer to be his 'thirteen leg' and 'millipede hands'?! angry

You know, first thing I did was take a look at your profile, and it amazes me that you have these words up there: "NoKnow what is right and act rightly" - which shouldn't be difficult to apply in this case. You don't need to ask anyone for advice on what is right here - just apply your brains and do what you feel is 'right'.

(poster and readers shall be indemnified against any unforseen results of your 'third leg' adventures). cool

You become content with God when your joy in blessing equals your joy in affliction.

Stop discussing pastors on nairaland, especially when you dont know his intetions. There is no proof the story is exactly that way or jara was added. It is not a bad thing if someone ask of peoples opinion about him. Jesus did it too.
Mark 8:27-28
And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? [28] And they answered,

It is called feedback. Some of you do it too! It could have been twisted to mean "spying" but only the pastor can say what was his intention.
