First, The Executive has no power to pass such motion to allow for referendum. Asking Ag President to pass a motion is waste of time, the request is misdirected.

Second, even if the Legislature, who are the ones responsible for writing laws or passing motions, were asked to grant the request it will never make it because the majority will kill it. The majority are not interested in referendum. Beside, the law makers would need to first amend the constitution to grant duch power in the first place for a referendum to be conducted. Amend constituion and then sponsor Bill and have reading of the Bill, vote on the Bill, pass the Bill....the process will take years.

Third, Ekunife should study and adopt what Yoruba Academy has instructed. Yoruba Academy has tasked SW Governors, SW HoA, Obas and Traditional Rulers and Yoruba Commonwealth to begin immediately a process and motion to hear the voice of Yoruba people and to bring the voice of majority to bear in a purposeful forward action.

Igbos should localize their call for referendum, rathern than begging the center to conduct one. Your future is in your hand, YOU, not NIGERIA, must determine your destiny going forward.

It is becoming true

Well, I do pray for biafra to come through so the Igbos can stop insulting us but their manner of approach for the secession is foolish, useless, misguided and illegal. Are they telling us they don't have learned people who can fight for their course legitimately?

Whether referendum,restructuring or succession,our selfish so-called leaders should know that the end of Nigeria as an entity has come.
