Nigerians In Diaspora Blast Fayose, Says Buhari Doing Fine, Not On Life Support

The Nigeria in Diaspora Monitoring Group (United Kingdom Chapter) has faulted the recent media report, which alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari has been on “life support for 20-days.

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, had in a statement he personally urged Nigerians to pray for the President as all was not well with him.

“Like every other Nigerian, I do not wish the president dead, I have therefore maintained dignified silence since we were told that the President embarked on his second medical trip abroad this year,” Fayose had said.

NDMG while condemning the claim, described Fayose as a low jobber, who is only out to dent the administration of president Buhari.

Adeka Onyilo, NDMG Coordinator, in an electronic statement made available on Thursday, the diaspora body berated Fayose for making crude remark about the office and person of the president.

Onyilo said, “It is most ridiculous the story is coming from no other person than the governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, who has not for once been able to hide his bellicose for the bite of the anti-corruption fight championed under President Buhari.

“His antecedent as a man who manipulated a sacred electoral process to emerge the governor coupled with his unmasked hatred of the President should have triggered the alarm bells for any reputable media organization to do better with its fact check.

“Contrary to achieving whatever devious objective the sponsors of the report might have had in mind, it has served to ridicule and compromise Nigerians especially those in the Diaspora as we can authoritatively report based on our experience and feedbacks from other nationals that we interact with in the UK since its publication,” he said.

The group’s leader recall that before the most recent Salah audio from President Buhari went public, the Nigerians in Diaspora Monitoring Group can confidently report that Nigeria's number one citizen is doing well here in the United Kingdom.

“This is an update we could have freely given to Sahara Reporters or any other member of the public since our group continues to closely monitor developments in this regards in line with the promise we made to Nigerians. That we were not issuing periodic updates as promised out of consideration for Mr. President's privacy.

“It is most unfortunate that those who traded their humanity for pittance to violate this privacy are also incidentally bereft of knowledge to the point that every single piece of medical equipment transforms into a life support machine in their mind's-eye. Much as they may want to massage their fantasies, we recommend to them to desist from trying to mislead Nigerians since their calamitous wishes are not the same as what has been ordained by God,” Onyilo added.

Even if Buhari is using live supporting machine is it not for his own good?since he is doing fine he should come back to Nigeria what is pursing him abi he wanted to be president at 72 knowing fully well that he is sick mentally and physically

The truth we will know one day

If Nigerians in diaspora have met with Buhari and have confirmed that he's doing fine..then, they should have spoken up since and not wait until Fayose said something.

In all fairness, I think Buhari is in a very bad shape, and the morally right thing to do is to resign and fully concentrate on getting back to full health as a private citizen. As long as he remains president, we will continue to demand full disclosure on his health because someone who is physically/mentally incapable should not be making decisions for over 160 million people

It is a shame that the socalled giant of africa does not have the medical personnels and facilities to treat her own president,with all the dollars and pounds goverment officials like him siphones off into foreign accounts to buy mansions and palaces in foreing lands. As well as the countless medical doctors that are mass produced by ill eqipped nigerian universities every year.

Buhari cannot be doing fine owing £20000 already for grounding Presidencial Plain in London for 50days (N80million).
