We have beautiful and efficient fire engines in Nigeria as well

Rightly said. The first picture is an E-One crash truck. Very same type used by airports in Western countries.

That very truck is scattered across all airports in Nigeria.

There is also the Kroneburg too. Nigeria has a whole lot of that too.

Another thing to note is that it's not the regular "Fire Brigade" that responds to aircraft fires. There are men that are specially trained, with advanced skills and knowledge, that tend to aircraft fires.

This special unit is called ARFF. You can google it up.

Our airports are manned by these highly trained professionals.

Take it or leave it, Nigeria is advanced in a whole lot of things, only that the awareness is not there.

If that had been in Muritala Muhammad Airport, it will take the firefighters 50 minutes to get there meanwhile others will be looking for soap and water to put out the fire. grin
and some will be taking selfies
