We can't say accessories n logistics is expensive.
But that MCBs ehn, of all the people wey don dey call me that their system get this error and that. I have not seen 1 MCB wey b known name.
1 even use AC MCB for panels, some don't even use MCB n SPD at all. We know aw expensive Schneider is, some1 here mentioned getting 1 for 23k thereabout, can't remember d amount, but Dem dey sell cheap ones for alaba (3-4k) wey dey carry various names, u go see some wey Dem put Schneider ontop sef. I no this cause av bought 1 b4.
The recent system I checked had Schneider DC MCB connect with d panel, MCB got burnt n didn't even flip. Charge controller didn't spoil.
Since list of all items dey, buy better items, not leave everything to installer hand.

He'll either see prices on websites that have not been updated or see prices of Alaba hustlers that don't actually have the product but would put ridiculously cheap prices to lure him to them at Alaba where they can then give him "oga this one too they work, na im I dey use for my house".

What you should be more worried about is about the system design and not just pricing. If you don't trust the pricing then maybe you're not really confident about his proficiency.

Yes. Same way u lock your bedroom bedroom in addition to having main entrance.
1) MCB - incoming and outgoing
2) ventilation.
3) over voltage/under voltage protector.
4) same as 1 above
5) SPD with proper earthing.

Inverter doing any of the above should be last resort as each time it does this for you, it degrades and will eventually fail.

Your last statement is an opinion that I differ.
The above should not even occur in the first place since we all are aware of our appliances' wattages. Well, the type of inverter we all use differ.

How much is a mcb ?
The mcb on my previous post was a mistake. I tried re-editing but it didnt go through.

As for the wire I maintain my stand.
Before the subsidy palava, 10mm2 is 2.2k while 6mm2 is 1.3k.

I will come check for updated prices now

Good morning, good people. Please, I need your inputs on the best configuration I can employ to install 16 units of 100w solar panels with a 24v smarten hybrid inverter.

I really need your inputs on this. Kindly help a brother.

I'd share my experience with the Schneider Homaya soon

Got one in February from their official store.

By March it developed a fault, fan is on non-stop and if utility power comes in, it goes off and doesn't charge batteries.

Contacted their support and they're telling me to pay 45k for a less than 2 month old inverter.

China brands it seems have better support these days
