Please house, I have these 2 Lontor rechargeable fans one is 30 watts with 2 pieces 4500mah battery, the other 24 watts with 4500mah battery.
Both are used in one small shop.

My question is can I get a 50 watts solar panel and connect direct to those fans or should I use a charge controller?

If a charge controller is needed, what type or capacity is ideal?

Those fans are only used between 10 am to 5 pm
I did a similar setup for a friend about 1 year ago.
-Get a used 150w - 200w mono panel
-A used, but decent 100ah battery
-A cheap pwm charge controller
Connect panel to cc to battery.
Connect 12v DC input directly to battery terminals (polarity must be correct, that is, positive to positive and negative to negative).
My friend's setup is still working ok.

I am not sure the batteries are for outdoor use. Unless you can guarantee that moisture would never come through that window, I would move them. Good job
Sunlight too.

You will need one good battery.

I hope my crude set up answers your question grin

Don't mind the naked wire. I just put am to demonstrate to you

It's an 80w panel

Good pm chairmen.

A question has been bothering me.

Which is actually better between UPS (e.g bluegate UPS) and a hybrid inverter?

Typical UPS consists of: Automatic voltage regulator, battery charger and inverter,

Hybrid inverter consist of: Battery charger, inverter, Mppt charge controller,

But most people that use hybrid inverter with Mppt also are advised to use external Mppt which is additional cost again.

So... Say... If I buy a 3kva Bluegate UPS, open it and connect it to a tubular battery, would it be as efficient as an hybrid inverter viz idle power consumption?

I fear the UPS internal transformer would be quite big and consume more power from the battery than an hybrid inverter.

As I dey read everywhere day inverter dey misbehave, I never see where UPS dey misbehave o cheesy

In short, I will like to know the disadvantages of using UPS in place of inverter

The main disadvantage of using ups is that it can't charge your battery effectively. You will need to buy an external charger. Secondly, you will need to introduce an external fan in the ups because of heat.

Why not buy from Lagos & the company will waybill it to Benin, somewhere around new Benin or Agbado. Shipping is very cheap unlike jumia or konga

@ TechGeek777.
Please, where can someone buy original 350w to 400w panel in Benin. Whether tier 1 or 2 will depend on price.
Thanks

Waybill is cheap?

Once the park people or driver sight your load, they'll start calling outrageous amounts. Sometimes it's even cheaper to buy seat than waybill

I totally agree with the quote, the highest SOC since beginning of July to date is 60% and that occurred once this month even with a 6300w pv.

With a terrible power generation this month am still rocking 100% off grid with no downtime but with a serious energy management grin.

My current DOD (8%) now will be fantasy to PB users while truest to lifepo4 shine without breaking a sweat. My DOD and SOC this month fluctuates between 5% to 40% and this will probably be bad for PB batteries.

Attached also is today's forecast which is terrible for my current DOD😭 how do I navigate through this🤦🏾‍♂️

Hi, please How/where did you get that battery monitor from?

Lontor rechargeable fans are built to use solar panels directly, provided you do not exceed 50 watts. There's is a port where you connect it on the fan, not directly to the battery.

Still In need of a 1.5kva 24volts inverter . I have gotten many offers but some seems to be repaired, broken or an upgraded transformer which I don’t understand or distance.

If you have a clean working 1.5kva 24volts pure sine wave inverter for sell at an affordable price , do reach out let’s reach a deal.

Thanks for the head up. I was thinking that 50 watts will fry the fans.
