-Schneider Homaya 1500va 24v Solar Hybrid inverter System.

Price: N79,000 N75,000

Quick Overview
Proven value for off-grid, backup power and self-consumption

ConextTM SW is perfect for off-grid, backup power and self-consumption applications, it is a pure sine wave, hybrid inverter system with switchable 50/60 Hz frequencies, providing power for every need. For expanded off-grid capacity, the Conext SW is integrated with fuel-based generators as required to support loads larger than the generator’s output.

It’s also self consumption ready, able to prioritize solar consumption over the grid, while maintaining zero grid export. The Conext SW works with the grid to avoid peak utility charges and support the grid when utility supply is limited. Accessories include pre-wired universal DC distribution panel and AC distribution panels. Stacking two Conext SW units will double the system’s total output power and available solar charge controllers allow for the integration of solar capacity as required.

Either Niyi or someone spoke about requirements to power a 2000W hot plate
What's your take on powering such load with a 24V@200Ah for 30min daily.
Thank you contributors.

I want to thank Oga George for his recommendations.
One of my setups has finally retired after meritorious service of 5yrs. 48V@160Ah Zenith batteries.
I need recommendations for recruitment, long service not short service please.

we had to install under the following conditions:
3S5P
That means 3 panels in series AND 5 IN Parallel to get 4200kwh

all straight to the combiner box and then about 10 metres to the power house to inverter and battery

The inverter has a surge capability of 10kva double the inverter Kva
I will be showing installation pics and the challenges that croped up

Was of the thought it would drop to say 70 to 80% soc.
More calculated, practical and experience inputs please.
Thanks

My guy, Dam5reey has given u both practical and theoretical end of your batteries, why ask again? undecided
@ 24v 200ah u re supposed to pull 10a savely from ur batteries, u re now talking of pulling around 84a! After such successful pull, d life of ur batteries will never remain the same. I may be wrong though, since this is a DIY, kindly do that experiment on ur batteries and report back to the house, who knows u can be right.

the 4mm cable, is it to connect the panels to the PV combiner box or to run from the PV combiner box to the SCC?

don't want to believe it's the later

Can anyone tell me something about these inverter.
Thank you in advance. I know is is a Prag 24V. Adjustable current and Voltage? Adjustable LBCO?

This is in addition to Oga Niyi's ...... From the picture its a 4kva (3kw) 24v inverter. It's low battery cut off can only be toggled between 10v and 10.5v from a set of d.i.p switches(assuming a 12v battery setup) . A more improved version now exists where you can adjust the battery cut off voltage from a knob beside the l.e.d display. Oga Kiekie posted a picture of it (some pages back).

Go to Konga and search Ctorch LED T-bulb, you'd see the 6w. You can search for the 5w or buy the 6w bulb in a market near you. The last time I bought the 6w I paid N600 each. The 5w sells for N500. Ctorch is a very good brand.

Mosquito will not bite u grin
Their 5W is brighter than most other brands of 9W

Oh it repeals mosquitoes as well? Unfortunately could not find CTorch in Ekiti, went for 5w AKT, I hope it lasts.

My next set of bulbs will be the rechargeable ones. Figured there won't be need to have my inverter on through the night if I can get few bulbs that last for 5 hours without power supply. Any idea of such bulbs?

Good Day Solar Gurus. I want to add to my existing modules but the problem is that, it will increase the output current which will be more than the 60A CC. I don't want to discard the old CC. Please what is your Advice?

You will need at least 4 units of 200ah batteries to enjoy this kind of load. Don't forget not to abuse the depth of discharge......if you deplete the battery too low every night, you battery won't last very long except guy are hooked to lithium battery!
