this is not good for your battery at all. i hope u don't try that often. your batteries going below 11V each, under heavy load, will affect its lifespan!

I rarely do that.....I did that to test the capacity of the inverter.

It's actually 102%. I guess those displays are on newer hybrid models

So Steca and MPP Solar can work in parallel. This is good to see.
They are both from Voltronic only the inverter builder gets to put their Names

That's one beautiful display.....the maximum peak harvest have seen from my pv is less than 900w. Is that normal considering it's less than 45% of my solar array(total pv=2.16kw)?

Niceee display!
Your boss has a boss cool

Guess your raspberry will take a rest now

1 Deye inverter can buy 2 or 3 units of equivalent Sorotec inverter
Thus Sorotec not doing badly at all

Sorotec is definitely great, after MPP it will be sorotec for me. As to my pi, well yes it's resting from MPP float bug but it's got to continue home automation grin plus have got to explore getting Deye data on my emoncms

That's definitely not right, you need to provide some more information though:
1. Is there demand (load) beyond 900w
2. How are the panels connected?
3. What's the CC spec
4. What's the battery specs
5. What's the charge voltage and current settings

Etc

IN addition, hope you dont have these send down the rain/ high pitched roofs, thats one of the greatest culprits of poor harvest, then wrong config of panels, wiring for pwm, instead of mppt

Good day everyone,

A big shoutout to fastshipping's He contacted us around October last year for his home in Nigeria on how he can use Solar to power his appliances inclusive AC,

We did quite a lot of tussle between finding the budgetary solution that will still fit his needs, with couple of meetings we came to a conclusion.

Yes even with load more than 1.5kw in full bright sunlight, the pv production is barely 850kw
2 Am using the inbuilt controller that came with the hybrid inverter. It's 80a Mppt

3 It's 48v 2s4p of 270w mono panel each

You are right.....the roof is very steep. That was the only option I had

That's very wrong, please change it to 4s2p

Hmmm, are you sure of his inverter Voc?
Has he stated it before, guess i missed it.

Most common hybrid inverters have Voc of 150v, if so 4s2p on 270w panels will fry it. Best he buys 1 more panel to make it 9 and then do 3s3p

Abi his hybrid is the high voltage types that can take upto 450v, if so.. then line it up 8s1p

This is correct. An "expert" nearly fried an inverter this way when the connection was 4s 3p (250w @ 38VoC) for 12 PVs instead of 3s 4p. Most Chinese hybrid inverter have 150v as their max input voltage; especially for capacity not higher than 5kvA

My inverter VOC is 145vdc max. Each of my panel VOC is 37.44. The Max I can do is 3s. 4s will be too much for the inverter

You are right. It's actually 145v max. I think I will manage the pv production. Will augment with Phcn. I appreciate everyone contribution. Thanks
