Zimbabwe’s 93-year-old President Robert Mugabe is in Singapore for a “routine medical check-up”, state media reported Sunday.

“President Mugabe on Friday left the country for Singapore for a routine medical check-up,” the Sunday Mail newspaper reported.

Please understand the law. The court in Abuja did not stop the recall process. A recall is like an election and no court can order for a recall to be stopped. There is legal precedence to that effect as a court of apeal has already ruled in a previous case. The court was very explicit when it said denied Melayes exparte application to halt the recall, ordering that the status quo be maintained. Meaning INEC will go ahead with the way things were previously which is to recall the Senator.

Pls find out what exactly the court means by "maintaining status quo". Although I'm not a legal practitioner, I don't want to believe a body like INEC doesn't have experienced and qualified legal practitioners as legal advisers.

In any case, events will speak for themselves.

Go and check the dictionary definition of status quo.INEC are just wasting their time and resources. When there are through with the illegality, they will still come back to the Senate president to complete the job.Dino will only be removed if the Senate president is satisfied that the process was duly carried out.If the Senate president is not satisfied, the whole exercise will be null and void
