jnyuwa02: Since time immemorial they've done that. What you meant there is that once they start working on an application and see the start date of the applicant is far away in the future, they drop it and go dig applications of earlier start dates? No na. Who de do scattered work like that? |

nifeicon: Hi there, for your expired visa, simply apply for another (applying for a temporary resident visa from inside Canada). On how to bring your family to join you in Canada, it gets tricky since you're on a work permit. What job do you currently do in Canada? Is the job in skill level 0, A or B? If yes, then you can apply to bring your husband (he'll get a work permit) and baby (trv). Then again if you have a job in those skill level like I mentioned earlier and have worked up to 1,560 hours you can try express entry for yourself and family. Best wishes!!! P.S: First thing first though, go apply for your temporary resident visa ASAP. I've seen people leave Canada without it and sent back upon returning. 1 Like 1 Share |

millybushy: Mighty congratulations bro!! Glad I could be part of your success story and looking forward to meeting you in person at USASK! Go do us proud and hold down the fort for us. Cheers. Ps: Millybushy was denied TRV going for PGD, then restrategized and applied for a PHD and that did it. For those looking a way out of the PGD quagmire, there goes your clue. 4 Likes |

Qualcoms: 1. $5,428CAD (N1,519,840) to $23,433.70CAD(N6,561,436) per year excluding $10,000CAD (N2,900,000) for Living expenses. 2. For me, it's Winnipeg, Manitoba because I love cold and the city has the coldest winter weather of any major Canadian city. Instead of ask any further question on this, why not try google. I hear that guy knows everything. 3. As a masters student, you can get a placement with Bombardier, Apple, Google, Government of Canada, Boeing, SNC Lavalin, Microsoft, Hydro Quebec. I hear these companies are the top recruiters of engineering graduates(and students) in Canada. Quite unlikely if you're not attending the league IVY of canada but in your word "possible". 2 Likes |

Good morning house. Please which university can I appy to in Canada that'd offer me admission in MA Economics with undergraduate CGPA 3.65/5.00? I have been previously refused by Uottawa and Carleton University. Kindly help me with name of schools that does not require 3.0/4. to give admission. |

jnyuwa02: Hello! If I say you all are not giving me much to think about with the growing believe in this forum that Msc/Phd applicants stand a better chance of getting study visa over Pgd/c then I’m lying. I literally went through all the Uni in Canada to see if I meet the minimum requirement for an Msc program in Science and Tech. My questions to you are 1 can one secure Msc admission even without meeting certain requirements like 3.0 GPA If no 2 how can one convince a VO that Pgd/c is the only reasonable route after a Bsc degree |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by jnyuwa02: 10:51am On Dec 10, 2017 |
OFFICIALAEL: Yes, you can secure MSC admission with a low GPA, even a second class lower or no university degree at all. They call it special admissions at some schools. Requires at least 6 years of working experience in the field you desire to study in. That said, I think the way you can convince the VO that PGD/C is a valid option for you is to show that a masters is not available in your area of study or that the PGD you are going for is very specialized and will offer you the same job opportunity as a masters. VOs do not buy all these low GPA arguments as why you decided to go for a PGD. Because that only begs the question that if you were not able to do well in Nigeria, why do you think you would do well in Canada, a more difficult, complicated and academically more demanding setting? They just mark you down when you do the low GPA argument. 2 Likes |

Only your last 2years of studies is needed you may calculate it using WES GPA calculator then if you have years of experience it's an advantage, with a 3.65 /5 am sure your last two years should be more than 3.00/4 . Abacino007: |

jnyuwa02: @jnyuwa02 The above is impressive this is the first time i think you are being optimistic about PGD/C please try and encourage people more about convincing the VO on pGD/C like the above against your usual discrimination. You are very active here and alot of people look for to your response on issues. Thank you for selflessness and good heart 4 Likes |

Please help a brother I was refused a study visa for Bsc.. University of Manitoba.. Mech Eng.. As at September I already had an OND in building tech but was advised not to reveal it in my first application.. Which I think was d cause of my refusal as therr was no tangible explanation for d 4yrs gap after secondary school. Now am about applying again... And am thinking if telling about my OND this tyme is gonna cause trouble since I already ticked no in my last application Secondly..how profitable is doing a pdg in Canada incase I decide to finalise my HND here in naija and den come over for pdg... Is it gonna be easy to apply for another study permit for MSc over there.... Please I patiently await ur responses.. God bless you all |

PLEASE SAVE A SOUL !!! Am really having issues concerning my reference letters. My school (University of Regina) is only requesting for cooperate email addresses for references. At first I submitted two cooperate email addresses from two lecturers in my school not knowing they are not functioning, so the lecturers couldn't access the email any longer, according to them, the problem just developed suddenly. As a result of this, I had to switch over to using the post office, but the problem here is that I can't change their email addresses I submitted to University of Regina and am scared of the consequence. Secondly, will I be penalized for changing from sending through email to mail (I mean posting the letters). Finally, also scared of the possible delay by the post office. Will the letters be able to reach as they are yet to send them but it will be sent on Thursday 15th December. Deadline is 15th January 2018. Writing from Abuja. Your contribution is greatly appreciated. |

Elvis6789: As for the delay in posting by post office, you can use courier service that delivers in days. More expensive, but very reliable and fast. I do not know about your school. Best wishes 1 Like |
