The sources of generation has not been improved with time. Obsolete generation process that we have. We never moved with the trend and changes in that industry as seen in most countries.
The distribution cables and poles are so old (most are from the 70´s). The transformers are another thing.
The whole power sector needs a re-structuring just like Nigeria.

Also, why are private individuals not allowed to generate their own power and sell what they can´t use? In western world, this is the practice. Even some goverment buys from these private individuals.

To up the grid the cheapest and quickest way is to build more gas power stations amd close to source in other to reduce vandalism
