Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, says Sen. David Mark, remain the finest material for President in 2019.

Chief Obasanjo, who landed at the VIP wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja where he was accosted by journalists to sample his opinions about the country and 2019 elections, says he has confident in the ability of Sen. Mark, to stabilize the country if Nigerians could entrust their mandates with him.

Obasanjo who described David Mark, as one of the intelligent politician so far, noted that the like of Sen. Mark, are very few in the country, hence the need to tap from his experience. Chief Obasanjo, said he is no longer a politician but can support any formidable and eligible candidate that has the requisite experience that will address the numerous challenges confronting the the already comatose country.

What is unclear is whether chief Obasanjo will return to PDP to play active role again to ensure that David mark win the party’s ticket, recall that Wailersng.com reported when ex-President Obasanjo publicly tore his PDP membership which marked his exit from the party.

Chief Obasanjo’s support for David Mark may simply hint Nigerians about the new permutation and scheming ongoing on the background by the so called landlords of the country which may mean that they have stopped their support for this current administration.

He however called on Nigerians to continue to pray for the fast recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari, stressing that prayer remain the only alternative solution to the health of the ailing President.

The ''Generals'' must continue to rule
Re: 2019 Presidency: OBJ Endorses David Mark, Says He Remains The Best Candidate by Axelrod(m): 2:06pm On Jul 30, 2017
In one of my comments on another thread here, I said that the mentality of the so called ''Generals'' who have held Nigeria hostage is that; no civilian can successfully rule Nigeria.

If you check the pattern of leadership at the submit of Nigeria's political space, you will realise same. Each time a civilian takes over power, or is about to do so, they just create unnecessary tension and remove same from power.

Since the inception of Nigeria, no civilian in the true meaning of the word has successfully governed Nigeria for two tenures.
From Shagari, to Yar'dua, down to Jonathan.

If this continues, retired military personnels will inculcate such a notion and Nigeria will never be governed by civilians.

I don't believe he said that, any candidate he endorses this time will fail woefully, his choices has been very bad for the country, we have our lives to live he can't continue to manipulate us ,our mumu don do, he and his cabal will not find it easy this time around, there is always a time when enough is enough.

God forbid! Enough of old men sitting in their palatial mansions and deciding the future of young Nigerians. No more recycling of worn out, corrupt and rotten career politicians. No more Atiku, Mark, Kwankwaso e.t.c whose only portfolio is to use religion, tribe and bribes. No more will Nigerians go through the torment of false dichotomy where we have to pick between a corrupt and ineffectual GEJ or a senile and inefficient Buhari!
With electronic voting and verification plus independent candidacy, we MUST get it right this time. Let's discard 'choosing between two evils' and find our own Macron like France. Long live Nigeria!

Mark is still a nationalist who will see the entire country as his constituency. I don't like him and won't vote for him but he's the better candidate in PDP when compared to characters like Sule Lamido, Atiku etc.

Obasanjo has always been inconsequential in Nigerian politics.

Obasanjo is assuming IBB must have thrown his weight behind David Mark and is selling this idea to the core Hausa Fulani in order to dissuade the MB becoming politically opposed to the core North as a fallout from the unchecked activities of the fulani militia wrecking havoc across the middle belt.

If you have noticed so far, the fulani militia have quieted down since a group of middle belt elders led by Danjuma condemned the activities of fulani jihadist and warned of an islamization agenda.

Obasanjo is just jumping on the train by pushing for David Mark knowing he is a strong ally to IBB.

The core North and Yoruba SW have since alienated themselves politically since Buhari and the APC got to power.

Afonja Obasanjo is trying to remain relevant politically and hopes to be seen as a power broker when he is not.

IBB and Danjuma made this man back in 1999 and 1976 respectively.

Obasanjo already knows these two silent Generals are looking at installing a middle belt with a possibility Igbo VP come 2019
