My 9ja E-coms vs drop shipping store.
I have been marketing my physical product online for a few years now.
I have more joy with my drop shipping store than my 9ja e-coms store....i don't have to bother my head over order fulfilment...I don't even get to see the product...I don't have to buy materials....and of course the number one leverage...I buy goods with my customers.money. You cant really say you are into drop shipping if you purchase products with your money and handle all shipment.
I have always love doing my own thing..though I still sell on big ecoms sites..like Amazon,EBay, Konga...to mention a few
I get a lot of calls/mail from people willing to drop ship my physical products in Nigeria and of course a few mails/call from other west African countries.

I shall be sharing a few reasons why drop ship isn't working presently in Nigeria.
1. Inventory/Wholesale warehouses...lack of wholesale warehouses...most small scale business are actively involved with marketing of their product.....so hardly keep inventory.

2. High cost of shipping/delivery....this is one major reason why drop shipping isn't working in Nigeria. I pay far less for shipping with my dropshiping store from China to America/Australia/Holland/France than my 9ja ecoms store Lagos to Borno for instance.

3 Pay on delivery. This is the singular most important reason why I have a far lower rate of conversion on my Nigeria E-commerce store than my drop shipping.

The rate of conversion with my 9ja E-commerce store is less than 5% while I get a much higher rate of conversion with my drop shipping store.
4 high cost of production...the high cost of production narrows the profit margin would be 9ja drop shippers can play with. Most of our smale scale businesses can't really compete with the low cost of products on Ali express.

My team and I are working on a Nigeria wholesale directory. Where hundreds of manufacturer will have their products listed. Would be Nigerian drop shippers can asses real manufacturers with the wholesale directory.
We.are also working on a payment procedure to take care of the trust issues between sellers and buyers in Nigeria.

Today we shall be talking about print on demand and niche selection. We shall take a generic product and see how we can meet the three basic elements of running a successful drop shopping business.

Earlier I told you the three basic things you need to have a successful drop shopping store are
1 a passionate/winning product
2 the target audience must be large in number
3 they must be reachable.

1. to make a success of your drop shopping store you must find niches people are passionate about...what do I mean by this...niches with audience that would be ready to punch you in the face if you say something terrible about their niche. Until you get a niche like dat, you could keep struggling.
2. your target audience needs to be large...this is necessary if you need to scale up your campaign
3. they most be reachable....they most have a place they hang out online....Facebook,Instagram, p interest.. etc.if you can't find places your target audience hang out online...then you might do well not to sell products in that niche.
Let's take a generic product like tee-shirt for instance. Does selling tee-shirt meet our three basic elements in having a successful store...come with me.
1. Passionate/raving crowd...audience that can punch you in the face if you talk ill of their niche.....no
2. Are they reachable/large in number?
3. can they get it in a store close by?
take a look at the shirt below...imagine this item comes up on ur feed while browsing on facebook

Re: Introducing-The Drop Shipping Naija Blueprint by Ohis3681: 2:31pm On Aug 24, 2017
You can always get this shirt down the road...no one will punch you in the face if you say something terrible about this tee shirt

Everyone wears teeshirt... How do you target people online...this is a no-no
Re: Introducing-The Drop Shipping Naija Blueprint by Ohis3681: 3:35pm On Aug 24, 2017
Facebook ads are mostly interruption marketing. Your audience are on Facebook to connect/socialise and not to buy. Selling on Facebook you need your audience to be EMOTIONALLY connected to your product before they can bring out their credit card (without even thinking most times) to make the purchase. If they cant connect emotionally and use instead the logical side of their brain (which they use often) they will never buy.
You have to speak to the customers emotions.

Take a look at another examples.
You choose the "wedding anniversary"niche for instance and target wedding anniversary in September.
You contact a print on demand site, you hire a good graphic designer, to print creative words/images on a tee-shirt.

Let's see if wedding anniversary meets our three elements
1. Passionate audience.... can someone punch you in the face if you say terrible things or possibly forget their wedding anniversary...yes
2. Can people with up coming wedding anniversaries be reached online- facebook, Instagram, p-interest ....yes
3. Are they large in number.....yes
4 can your target audience readily get same tee-shirt with exact same words/images in a brick and mortal store.....no

Imagine what comes to mind if someone, trying to figure out the best gift for his/her spouse whose wedding anniversary is up this September, suddenly stumbles on any of this images below on their Facebook newsfeed

Re: Introducing-The Drop Shipping Naija Blueprint by Ohis3681: 3:41pm On Aug 24, 2017
His/her first reaction would be did Facebook know my anniversary is up next month.

Then you write something like this...we are giving out 100 FREE tee-shirt to mark our five years as a company...just pay shipping

You can as well add tag your friend or spouse in the comment of your marketing campaign.

Re: Introducing-The Drop Shipping Naija Blueprint by Ohis3681: 4:54pm On Aug 24, 2017
What's the odd that they would ever find any of the above products on the store is what makes an item hot.

Does your product have emotional appeal? Does it pull on your audience heartstrings?....would viewers want to tag their friends...spouses? e.t.c.

An item is hot when someone views it on Facebook and thinks if they don't buy it right then they would never be able to see it again, because they are not available in stores.

This is called impulse purchases and that's what my team and I uses.

Facebook is interruption marketing. People will buy if the product has the right price appeal, scarcity and urgency in your marketing.

The number 100 tee-shirt in my above post brings scarcity...you must know how to use some of this elements in your marketing.

Well...if all what I have been saying still sounds strange to you...don't worry my team got you covrered....we have a done for you system...

we will help you build an e-commerce
Store...with woo- commerce or any solution of your choice ...in any niche of your choice...stock it with hot selling products, all you need do market.....

We help you with all the research and all.

As a bonus you get a chance in my upcoming NAIJA DROP SHIPPING MASTERMIND (a group of just 10 dropshippers)...where u have the opportunity of watching over my shoulders and see the exact products and markets I'm targeting....

I shall be talking about the upcoming naija drop shopping mastermind in subsequent post

If you would love to be part of my naija drop shopping mastermind shoot me a mail...

A recap
In picking a niche, pick a niche people are so passionate that they can punch or fight you if you say something terrible about it.
Take for example in Nigeria....the early days of the English premiership....we had a lot of passionate football fans who could pick up a fight with you if you say anything terrible about their team.

My Aba friends took advantage of this and sold a lot of branded sport items to these numerous fans. This is just an example of finding passionate markets...it isnt advisable to sell fake brands in your e-coms store.

A lot of people loose money with Facebook ads because they do it the wrong way. You must find something interesting to make people STOP while scrolling down their newsfeed..

Making a sale is more important than anything else...the audience must have an attachment to the product to be able to pull their credit card out.

Lesson 10 choosing a winning mindset....get a coach/mentor. Every professional has a coach...the difference between a professional athlete and an amateur is one has a coach the other doesn't.

..I wrote earlier about my naija drop shipping mastermind...where we all would have an opportunity of sitting together and trashing out issues affecting us in our dropshipping business...this will be a huge leverage for you if you are just starting out...you have the opportunity of looking at the exact products and market each and everyone of us is promoting

Wow...i got not a few mails and messages on WhatsApp on the naija dropshipping mastermind....I'm super excited too....but we shall not be able to admit more than seven for now....I always prefer keeping a small group for efficiency.....
A lot can be achieved working as a team...I'm really really excited...

Do you know even internet fraudsters (who put us all in this mess) work as a team.....they have mentors/coaches too....none of them made it big without a coach/mentor/team.....i personally havent seen any.....

Show me a struggling fraudster...without being told.....you should know he doesn't have a team/coach/network/mentor.

That is why despite the restrictions in Nigeria millions of dollars still find its way here...these guys are always a step ahead of the system...they work together to unlock virtually every restrictions thrown at them

....Its amazing that (we)entrepreneurs who should be more creative are having a hard time getting over some of this restrictions......

We shall be discussing some of this restrictions and how my team and I get pass this restrictions in the last course of the naija drop shipping blueprint

bro with this your mindset it is better you just go and get an offline job. the most important strategies are not free online. the reason why most of you fail online is your addiction to freebie. your aim now is to crucify anybody selling ebook regardless of its value? keep deceiving yourself in your quest for freebie. despite my vast knowledge of internet businesses if i want to fully adopt dropshipping today, i will start by buying the best available materials on dropshipping because i have no time to waste for childish freebie searching. please respect yourself and do not ever mention me again when you are in need of any freebie. mstw
Good day sir, please I'm a corper and I've been a big day one fan of your threads but I cannot afford your book on affiliate marketing right now, if there is anyway you can aid me with knowledge that can sustain me during my service year I'll be glad. I am very much interested in freelancing and affiliate marketing sir please help me, thanks for replying me in advance.
