The hermit state, which has continued to carry out provocative missile tests despite worldwide condemnation, issued the threat in a Pyongyang-based newspaper.

The propaganda rag sent a direct threat to despot Kim Jong-un’s biggest enemies, describing the US as “imperialists” and South Korea as “puppet warmongers”.

The fiery opinion piece threatened America with devastation and accused South Korea of going “mad” by teaming up with Washington.

It also said if the two states continued threatening North Korea and imposing sanctions they would meet “shameful ruin”.
The piece read: “The US imperialists and the south Korean puppet warmongers are more desperately resorting to military provocations against the DPRK.

“The US imperialists' reckless hysteria for invasion of the DPRK has created such acute situation on the Korean peninsula that a war may break out any moment.

“The South Korean authorities have gone mad in military provocations against the DPRK in collusion with their American master.”
