Kei car in retro style: Honda has declassified the second generation N-One

Dealers of the Japanese brand are already taking orders for the new product. It is available in three versions: Standard (Original), Premium and RS.

Honda unveiled its retro-styled N-One kei car in late 2012. The creators of the car were inspired by the compact Honda N360 – this model was produced from 1967 to 1972. N-One was slightly updated in 2017, and in April 2020 it became known about the completion of the release of the “five-door”. Now the Japanese brand has introduced a second generation hatchback.

Honda announced the “second” N-One in the spring of 2020 with the help of a completely “non-speaking” childish drawing. At the same time, the company noted that the new generation of the model will retain the retro style of its predecessor. Later, footage of the new N-One appeared on the Web, which the spies caught during the tests, while the camouflage film was only on the front part and partially on the stern of the prototype being tested.

Now the new generation Honda N-One is officially presented. The concept of his design remains the same: these are three shapes – a circle, a square and a trapezoid. We are talking about round head optics (now with LED daytime running lights), about “squared” tail lights and about a trapezoidal body. The shape of the radiator grille (varies depending on the version) and the air intake built into the front bumper have become different. “Fog lights” (available in the Premium and RS versions) are now rectangular rather than round. And in the rear bumper there was a strip with reflectors and parking sensors.

Maserati showed the prototype of the Grecale crossover on the platform from Alfa Romeo Stelvio

The serial version of the mid-size SUV of the Italian premium brand will be presented later this year.

In early autumn last year, Maserati unveiled the MC20 supercar and at the same time talked about plans for the future, including the release of a new crossover, which in the model range should take place one step below the Levante. The company at the same time officially confirmed the name of the new item – Grecale. Recall that the Maserati car got its name in honor of Gregal – the strong cold northeastern wind of the Mediterranean Sea.

During the announcement of the new model, the Italians showed one teaser for Grecale. Based on this image, the Maserati SUV will have a long bonnet, a sloping roofline with a spoiler above the tailgate, and short overhangs.

Work on the project is in full swing: now crossover prototypes are undergoing road tests: on race tracks, off-road, as well as on public roads. Ares S Project: Italian livery for Corvette C8 and crescendo for V8

The Italian company Ares Design has unveiled the S Project mid-engined supercar based on the latest generation American Chevrolet Corvette. Completely original body and boosted to 715 hp. will cost customers half a million euros.

Headquartered in Modena, Ares Design is run by Dani Bahar, a Turkish-born Swiss and former top manager of Ferrari and Lotus. Over its short history (the company has existed since 2014), Ares Design has brilliantly proved itself as a body shop, releasing a whole bunch of restomods, conversions of production cars (the most famous is Project Panther based on the Lamborghini Huracan) and custom motorcycles.

S Project is another brainchild of Ares Design, which Bahar told about in an interview with Top Gear magazine (this model is not yet presented on the company’s website). Unlike previous projects, Ares “S” does not copy any well-known historical image, but represents the developers’ own view of what a modern supercar should be like.

For this last reason, finding units maintained as fresh from the factory is extremely rare. And that makes them tremendously expensive, as will be the case with this Mazda RX-7 from 1994.

Like the Acura NSX auctioned a few weeks ago, this third-generation Mazda RX-7 (FD) has barely had a profitable life despite having five decades behind it. Painted in a Montego Blue color, and with 4,450 miles on the odometer, that is, 7322 kilometers, it looks really pristine. It has not received any modification, so it keeps the rotary engine 13B-REW turbocharged of 258 HP and 294 Nm associated with a manual change of five relations. According to the auction portal Bring a Trailer, the Mazda RX-7 from 1994 remained inactive for 12 years when it was purchased by its first owner, before being bought by its current seller (Motorcars Washington). Recently it has been updated from top to bottom so that everything will be in order again, like the first day. That translates into a change of oil and filters, new spark plugs and new battery.
