Cat and Rat were bossom friends in the animal kingdom. There was no place one went or nothing one did without the other.

However, one day, there was a serious hunger in the land. The only thing left in their house was a very big yam. They both agreed that they would go and sell the yam after carving it like a canoe. They were to cross a very big river.

As they got to the centre of the river, Rat (who was at the back of the canoe) could not control his hunger. So,he started to eat the yam(canoe at the floor),unknown to Cat.

Then, water entered the canoe from where Rat ate it.And the rest was history as each swam for dear life.Fortunately, each survived, but Cat was mad with anger against Rat.

As soon as Cat got back to the house,he saw Rat close to their house. He then started chasing Rat,who also knew the wrong he had done, started running for his life.

Nairalanders, any time u see a cat chasing a rat,you should now know the reason.

By the way, politically, religiously etc speaking, what lesson(s) can we learn from this story?
