Yesso, my file was at CIO Sydney Nova Scotia. Ordered GCMS notes after the files had moved to London.
Everything was done except Security Screening which took forever it seemed.

OK now, team Nova Scotia...so you're now at London? So what delayed was the Security screening?

okay apart from the country code, did the rest groups match?

i tested one canadian trf and it matched, so i am suspecting uk uses 10 as country code, you could verify this by checking your reference number.

@nnekdre

Caveat: This is solely for educational purposes.

TRF number is 18 characters long, I would take a sample and explain how it is formed

lets look at this TRF Number 15NG005978BUHM050G

This is actually made up of joining 7 distinct groups: 15 + NG + 005978 + BUH + M + 050 + G

15 = last two digits of the year of your exam. all 2017 exam TRF would start with 17
NG = Country code, all exam taken in Nigeria would have NG while those taken in canada would be CA
005978 = candidate number, check the email british council sent you, if yours is 4 digit, add two zeros in front. 5978 = 005978
BUH = first three alphabets of your surname, so for Buhari it is BUH
M= first alphabet of your firstname, so for Muhammadu it is M
050 = last three digit of centre number
G= G for General, A for Academic

Now you would also need TRF date. if you didnt apply for remarking and your results wasnt pulled for quality assurance purposes, your TRF date may be y a day before the online one is released ie 12 days from your exam date, exam date excluded. Though folks have recorded variation in this

I dont work for British council so this isnt law. i and a friend only pulled out our old TRF and tried to decipher the TRF number out. please everyone should grab out their old TRF and see if the formular is consistent, from your reports we would update this. Thanks all

Thanks a lot einsteino , but what was benin center number and do you know how long it takes to get here.
I have every thing ready I.e my ECA and I don't want to miss the pool this Wednesday. What date did you enter for date of exam?

I have been wondering the same myself. I deserve more than 7 in writing but I'm just gonna let it slide.

xpizzy:
I don't like conspiracy theories but I feel a lot of people got less scores than they deserved in writing . Mine was LRWS 8.5 9.0 7. 5 8
I am wondering how a lot of people got a 7. I have seen a lot of high band scorers having a 7 in writing.

please ,talking about soft landing, how long can you be in canada before you can come back to naija? also how much grace can canada give you if you have not returned back to them, i am still trying to deal with the fact that as i heard the canada is very cold, i am still wondering if i can ever stay there, because in naija sef, everywhere dey cold for me hahahahah, but i dey find good life for canny land

You can come back to Nigeria after collecting your PR card. Check the processing time on CIC's website. But, to maintain your PR status you must live in Canada for at least two years within a five-year period. The two years may not need to be continuous.

Hello house, I need your help. I want to start the process of the express entry application but having a little challenge. I have a masters and I'm 30, but I don't have straight one year experience( I have some breaks in between). I have one year training with National Power Training institute of Nigeria(NAPTIN).On the other hand my husband has over six years of experience but age is not on his side. I will like to know if I can use my NAPTIN training or NYSC experience. I will also like to ask if ECA has to be done for me and my husband and do I have to do it for my Masters or Bachelors degree. Looking forward to ur help.

You can use your NYSC work experience if it falls under skill level A, B or 0. Check your skill level here. As the Principal Applicant, you will need an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for education received outside of Canada (except your master's degree is from a Canadian University). Evaluate your highest degree only which is your master's degree.

Hi guys,

For those that wrote the GT exam on 30th September 2017 and scored 9. I'm really curious about a particular question. The passage said they only ship parcels less than $1500 and the question asked what is the maximum amount that can be shipped. I wrote $1499. You know how they say you shouldn't change the text in the passage. I scored 8.5 so I don't know exactly which question I missed but I really wanna know the answer to that particular question. Thank you.

You do not need to raise a cse (assuming where u returned from was just for a short period) or in ur application u didnt indicate that naija is current place of residence?

You cant be raising cse for everything u do smiley

Ok cool cool. Thanks a bunch... The wait is just messing with me.

The question looks tricky but imagine someone else writing $1499.99 That's still technically less than 1500 and more than your choice. If the instruction was two words and or a number, i'd jejely go with Less Than $1500. If it's however one word or a number. $1499.99 will be my answer.

Grammarians and mathematicians should comann put mouth in this matter o. If passage says less than X, then X should automatically be ruled out as maximum. My thought.
